The opening acoustic guitar for this song was inspired by Kirk Hammet's holiday vacation to Sicily in 1988. During this vacation he spent 1 month with Sergio Garcia at a house overlooking the bay of Santa Del Rigga. Kirk Hammet is said to have had 24 hour drinking sessions with Sergio and his extended family, feasting on wines, cheeses and olives.
