Literally no one has given Thomas credit for how well he is with his RIGHT hand. Pay attention, he doesnt move his arm one bit.. It's all in the wrist. It's very versitile and he is great to learn these techniques from.. Anyone trying to get this down, try practicing with a mirror and be very conscious about not moving your thumb.. It should click in a month or so where you dont need to think about. Musicians, keep it up. Peace

@broed731 Hmm, I mean, I know he wanted to move on, but that's because I figured he was just progressing as a musician. I don't recall him ever stating he "hated" it per se. If he hated it, then you'd think he'd never play the doppelganger songs live... which he did a few at every set I saw.(even after ITUE). And if he hated FCP, I'd assume he'd stay away from that, but he played it all the time and enjoyed doing so whenever I saw him.

Im really not sure why "Manipulator" had such harsh feedback from fans. The sound really was not that much different from their "Self-Titled" and "Doppelganger", a little softer on some parts but still had that overall progressive, mathy feel to it. I could see" In the Unlikely Event" criticism being a little bit more negative because that sound really was a departure from standard TFOT
