  • 映画、「プルートで朝食を」で、「for the good times」とこの曲が流れてきたときには思わずウルッちゃいました。UP有難う。

  • どういたしましてsisterdaddy62さん。

    その映画、知らなかったのであらすじをザッと読んでみましたが結構面白そうですね。

  • Was there anymore to the song or did it just end like that??

  • 62olds88,

Because you posted the teasing comment to the viewers who rated lower this video, I deleted it and also blocked your account.

  • GORGE song! so pretty and sad at the same time, ironic.

I'm confused by the meaning .. can anyone help me out??

  • @janelerss4jayjoe1111 There are many different interpretations..it depends on how you perceive it. For me, the lyrics speak of death..About a man talking to his sweetheart who died...and telling her how much he misses her.

  • Sadly, this song takes on a whole new meaning since my bride of 29 years died this past 6 November (2011). God Almighty, Lord Creator of all that is good, will this aching, hollow pain never end?... Honey I miss you.

  • @StudebakerHawk57 I will be praying for you. God will give you relief in HIS time. Just remember if she loved Jesus, and you do too, you will see her again in heaven.

Please do not post here the comment about the reason why you dislike this song.

    60otaku3

  • @60otaku3 I don't recall saying I dislike the song. I was just pointing out that many dislike it because it is sentimental and maudlin, which even those who love the song will struggle to deny.

  • superb

  • OK, I admit it, I like this song.

  • That song made me cry again, ever since I was little, it got to me.

  • I always cry when I play this song.... LOL, I am a sentimental fool LOL....

  • @neopreneca it's a very sad (but beautiful) song - everyone who does not cry at it, is a fool :)

  • tears are falling ...again...

  • This one still brings tears my eyes so sad but one of the Best songs written P.S. when I hear it I still think of you Karen so I'll see you on the other side Honey R.I.P.

  • I've heard some interpret this song as a woman with major depression killing herself. I have always thought that she got a bad prognosis from the doctor, so was crying when her husband got home and she later dies of the illness while she's at home alone. But whichever way you interpret it, it's a beautiful song! And I want to say to all people that admit this song makes them cry, especially men, I applaud you for having real heartfelt feelings and not being afraid to say it!

  • that voice sound in the back im sure it a violin bow over a saw it is its a saw and a violin bow..

  • If someone has "I dream of Gina" by Bobby Goldsboro please upload it, there are very personal reasons for this song, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • My moms favorite song , Heard her sing it my whole childhood , God bless her soul.

  • Is there anyone knows if there is a simple similarity or if it's a real plagiarism between this song of bobby goldsboro and the song called "les divorcés" by Michel Delpech a french singer? (You can find this song on youtube) thanks!

  • RR 1968 Thailand-This was on the jukebox and also got played by somebody.

  • I Love this song, in fact I love it so much that whenever I miss somebody I love (or loved), I'd sing the chorus to said person how much I miss (or missed) them.

Thank you Otaku for uploading this. -your friend, Julian-san. :)

  • You're welcome, Julian-san!!

  • This is purely from the heart. Breaks my heart every time.

If only I can express this to my beautiful ex girlfriend.

She know what's important and so do I.

I'll still have a place for you in my heart

  • reminds me of my pass when i was still young and filled with love crushes and these song reminds me of my youth lived in happiness

  • Heard a version of this on a Music of your life affiliate, and the singer actually said, 'but what can you say?' I guess he felt uncomfortable 'bout sayin', 'What the heck?' Bobby's version was Billboard's 239th #1 hit of the rock era. God bless!

  • goose-pimples ya'll..............

  • This video is posted on Facebook page called "Golden Tunes - Sound of Oldies", so if you have fb account and some time, check it, i guess you will like it :) Page is for everyone who like like warm cozy sound of evergreen music.

  • I do not mind about somebody having posted my video on the specific website.

But please do not invite me to there because I do not intend to join Facebook at present.

  • This song has been approved by Homeland Security as an alternative to waterboarding

  • no dislikes... can't imagine why, maybe its because this music isn't hatable.

  • @wx5767 you are exactly right. This song is non-cynical. It speaks to the human condition -- our mortality, and the loss of a loved one. Its a beautiful song. And its very real.

  • @cb81965 wow, beautifully put...you sure have a way with words, i'm only 14, but I'm one those few teenages who has never said a swear in their life and longs to be as artfully gifted as the musical icons i look up to... thank you for commenting, i really do appritiate it...really, i do...

  • Adore this song. Very sad. Reminds me of my mum *sniff* Lost her 9 years ago now - still think about her every day.

  • This song makes sense when you realize that Honey died of terminal stupidity.

  • Without a doubt one of the most depressing records ever. Why it went to #1, I'll never know. If you're already depressed when you begin to listen to his insipid record, you'll be suicidal at the end of it. YUK!!!

  • Even if it is a fact you think so, your comment makes me uncomfortable for no reason.

    ...Otaku3

  • @60otaku3 It was never my wish to discomfort you or anyone else; I merely stooped by to offer an opinion on a song that I believe is unbelievable putrid.

  • @russieross pardon me..the word is "stopped" not "stooped". Damm those typos!

  • @russieross, if you really feel that way about this beautifully touching masterpiece, then why are you even here on this page listening to it? That's what I can't figure out.

  • @winscott9601 Oh no, I'm not listening to it.....I'm depressed enough. I just recall the days in 1968 when this horrible, wretched thing first came through my radio speakers. It was painful.

  • Listen to those lyrics.

  • We had this album when I was a kid. My sisters loved the guy.

  • This song reminds me a bit of: kenny rogers - 'coward of the county'. Very similar in a way. I like these kind of songs.

  • probably one of the saddest songs i know..

    makes me cry nearly everytime

thanks for uploading, its nice when you listen to a sad song that the audio quality isnt bad.

  • :< My great-grandma passed away five yrs. ago. It was such a devastating tragedy to strike my family... When I was 7 yrs. old on Aug. 16, 2005, I saw her on her death bed... so lifeless when living.. I grabbed a portable whiteboard and wrote, " Grandma, I love you... I'll always remember you right in my heart in that special place I have just for you.." She smiled and said softly," Oh mija.. don't cry. my time has come to go to live with God now... I love mijita..." This song reminds me of her..
