i usually looooove your videos, but i've not read the hunger games yet (plan on ordering it soon) and watched your review to see what you'd say. i'd expected you to say what was good about it, if it was a compelling story, if the writing was good - but by the 8 mins 30 (where you said spoilers started) you'd just said you loved it and just said what happens at the beginning, and i hate to say i don't consider that much of a review and i didn't want to watch past into the spoilers :(

I liked your review, I loved the books but felt I was a little too old for them, just like you I preferred the first book! I just have to tell you though, maybe try to structure your thoughts more next time. I know it's quite difficult with these books because they have a lot of things going on, but tbh it was a bit messy ;)

Interesting. This sounds a lot like Battle Royale (the Japanese novel and film). The themes of survival and children seem very similar.. I think you would like the movie.. the opening sequence where this young girl emerges from the competition all bloodied is really profound!

I like the way Hunger sounds like it has more of an epic arc regarding the 13 districts etc. Thanks for the review. I definitely will check it out!

Hey I like that you've decided on doing book reviews as well, but if you're really interested in doing that for your channel, please put a little more effort to it.. I don't know if you've read it yet, but you should read Divergent by Veronica Roth. If you like the Hunger Games, you'll like Divergent too. It's also a trilogy I think, but yeeeah, you should check it out! It's really good from what I've read so far.

The hunger games is such a good book. I loved it too. You will freak out when you finish reading Catching Fire. Your jaw will drop. Mockingjay is even more crazy but way depressing. I'm sure you'll cry more. I balled my eyes out when I finished reading Mockingjay. No lie. Haha!

Since you loved the Hunger Games so much. You should read 'The maze runner'. It's so awesome. It's suspense like the hunger games & so quick. You won't be able to put the book down. You'll keep flipping pages so fast b

I got mixed up with a title of a James Bond movie lol. The title of the book is Battle Royale; it has the whole concept of having teenagers fight to the death in a futuristic society, except on a much larger scale. Looking forward to your next review! :)

I think they are amazing and helpful. Although I'm not a Hunger Games fan at all. I read part of the first book but I never finished it. I know what happens in the entire book series though. I just thought the series was just to predictable like most dystopian novels are. I just couldn't get into the series.

Oh and the whole concept of Hunger Games was based off a hugely controversial book called Casino Royale by this Japanese author (there are English copies). Whereas Hunger Games is more teen friendly, Casino Royale is definitely more adult in tone, violence. Its a really incredible and haunting read. I highly suggest you look it up! They made several controversial movies of it too.

I read the book when it first came out and throughout the series, I was always a fan of Gale more, even though he had few appearances until the last book. All my friends adored Peeta, but for me, he seemed too 'perfect' to be true or believable. x) gale was a more flawed and intruiging character. But now that I've reread the series a couple more times, I came to really love Peeta. ^_^ Tbh, the guy that portrays peeta in the movie is totally not what I pictured him to be like. =_= Neither Gale.

Why don't you try to write out a summary before you make the video? The beginning was a bit rough, and you sort of didn't mention a lot of the character tensions that make the book really good.
