No, unfortunately my father passed in 1997, he was a patient at the Veteran's Medical Ctr. here. They don't have to register the cancer patients they have with the NYS Cancer Registry, which is not fair. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel, and prior to that he was in the Navy stationed at the Ammunition Depot, this site is now listed with the Superfund sites that have to be cleaned up due to contamination. @cynthcul107 oh no problem and sorry for the long wait for this response.....the medical field has alot of screwed up stuff about it and I know searching for medical records and stuff can really be a pain...........
I recently had the task of reviewing thousands of pages of medical records because my father had cancer, worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp, and was a patient at Veteran's Medical Center. So I learned a lot by doing research. There are many names to say that a person has cancer and it depends on where the cancer is located. It could be renal (kidney), a sarcoma, or bladder carcinoma, so it is scary and very emotional when you have to look up conditions and disease. You are doing great!
@cynthcul107 you are right there are sooooo many different types of cancers and whats funny is I really enjoy reading about cancer....like thats my favorite area of conent to read about...alot of my friends hate reading about it and find it boring but its so interesting to me how cancer just pops up out of no where sometimes on people..its weird...thanks for the comment..oh and is your father's cancer in remisson?
I commend you cause I can't do anything medical, I can't even push a broom in a hospital. But I admire people like yourself who want to help others deal with their health issues. Hang in there.
