I can play the main rhythm and all the riffs, as well as the intro solo mostly but I haven't attempted (and don't think I could manage) the last solo.

Guitar is rapidly becoming my favourite hobby, and it's like the opposite of HRC cause you absolutely own me at it =) How much do you practice per day?

I play much, much more cello now than I do guitar, and I've been playing a bit of piano.

@ontendootlorge Ah right, I've been "playing" for 7 years now but I literally had never practiced or played (except 20 minute school lessons once per week) until two months or so ago.

I practice about 30 mins to an hour per day and often play more (though I usually just play songs after that) and I'm trying to make myself practice more but it's hard =/

Heh, if I was as good as you at guitar I'd practically never play other instruments =P

Never say that again. Disturbed cannot be even compared to Metallica, Metallica are a proper metal band - Disturbed are not.

I like both bands, but I like Disturbed the most.

Gotta admit there's a reason why Metallica is so famous and popular, but it can be compared to Disturbed anyway.

Both bands got their pros and cons.

Metallica is not more metal-like than Disturbed so never what you just said again.

Just my opinion though.

@ThaThing1337x Obviously music is down to taste and personal thoughts though. However, on facts alone Metallica are superior - They've sold more albums, have more popular gigs and more famous songs. I could go on for a long time on facts... But the main reason is:

- Metallica are far more technically superior musicians to Disturbed

You can't argue with the above - Disturbed songs take 5 mins to learn, Metallica sometimes months.

On taste, it's personal. On skill level, Metallica > Disturbed.

Yes, I know the guitar playing is way more advanced than in Disturbed, but the drumming is a different thing.

Anyways, I didn't say anything against how popular and skilled Metallica is, but that you said Metallica is a "true-metal" band or whatever you're trying to say and Disturbed is not.

Disturbed is more like Nu-Metal, Heavy Metal and a bit Pop/Rock.

I don't really care about genres though.

But I'd say Lamb of God is more "true metal" than Metallica.

@ThaThing1337x Lol, no. Metallica is not Pop/Rock and Disturbed isn't Heavy Metal. I heard you play guitar, so look at their tabs and the equipment (amps and pedals) they use - Metallica's are far more complicated and metal typical than Disturbed's which are typical rock style.

But yes for the 9001th time, I'm aware of the fact that the guitars in Metallica is more advanced than in Disturbed! xD

But Disturbed have some riffs that I find better than Metallica's, most likely since the genre has evolved and more techniques are made.

Lars' drumming isn't that great, neither is the vocalist's voice.(IMO)

But Master of Puppets' intro riff is just too amazing.

Even though I like Trivium's cover better. (Here we go again! XD)

Right, I think James' singing is pretty much the same in most songs (and they got a shitload of songs).

It's OK, but I like Disturbed's David Draiman better, even though he isn't that great live bacause of a surgery in his throat.

I think Down With the Sicknes by Disturbed is heavier (more metal like idk) Enter Sandman or any other songs by them.

Not that it really matter though xD.

@ThaThing1337x Fear is the heaviest song they've done, and that's nothing compared to Battery and such by Metallica. All the Metallica songs you quote are the few rock styled ones - Enter Sandman is overrated and so is Nothing Else Matters.

I don't like Draiman that much, especially since he kicked out the original bassist because he felt like it. Neither him nor James have exceptional voices, but the difference is James can actually play an instrument whereas Draiman just screams.

How hard are Marth PAL shffl bds compared to, say, 9bds Falcon or 8bds Zelda?

@Treklink256 Heh, I like the bloopers because they add to the video content and show that us WR holders are very human indeed. I've got an annotation for lazy people like you anyway =P

It depends on how many you're doing. If it's one of these compared to one falcon or zelda BD, then way harder. But this strategy is much harder than 9 BDs Falcon and 8 BDs Zelda - Both of those are easy xD

If I would have to rank the WR strategys on difficulty I'd say:

Falcon WR > Marth WR > Zelda WR

More people use PAL than NTSC (lol @ Nismojoe once saying that PAL was a cheat because only 10% of people used it).

Plus IC Glitch and NTSC Yoshi count for the WRs. If PAL Marth didn't count as a WR then we'd have to get rid of NTSC Yoshi and IC Glitch. Hell, the extra 0.6m NTSC Ganondorf would be unfair too.

@TokXilChaos i dunno i just remember hearing something about that i can't really remember. it's just that marths ada sends the bag straight down in PAL and in NTSC its goes on an angle so this strat would be impossible on NTSC. I dunno i just remember hearing that PAL didnt count for WR

In PAL IC Glitch is impossible, as in NTSC Yoshi's strategy at the same percentage.

If one version wouldn't count it should be NTSC because more people use PAL and PAL is at a disadvantage. The only reason people think NTSC is the standard for SSBM is because Americans get all righteous about it...
