@helltrackrider CA is an example of how the state legislation was changed. Colorado is very similar as well. Many of my friends voted in Mass, and under an ounce of pot is punishable as a fine. Which means that even if a cop decides to waste his time writing a ticket, it will not show up on your permanent record. I believe that these laws were guided by "pro-pot politicians," and these politicians did help, but really, the people who are responsible for these new laws: voting citizens.

If you think that's bad, 20 years ago, my parents, however, had to suffer through many of their friends being killed during peaceful protests.
