  • @v1ruzb00t3r Lol since when is noise supposed to have "beats."

  • @TheEmotionMachine Imo their has to be a structure in a song.

  • @v1ruzb00t3r Just because something doesn't have conventional structure that doesn't mean it doesn't have any at all

  • @v1ruzb00t3r Music is just organized noise.

  • long live hanatarash

  • its kindof weird how nonconformity is kind of conformity

  • @boogiebuddy01 funny how non conformity is misunderstood. say non conformity and most people think of individuals trying to unique. i think its more about people joining different groups and conform to each other outside of what they perceive to be the mainstream. its all relative

  • @znubzz188 Nonconformity doesn't mean trying to be unique...NOR does it mean conforming to a group, which is complete conformity no matter how you look at it...It means being YOURSELF.

  • @adamrothraisdead which doesn´t mean anything at all

  • @znubzz188 What doesn't mean anything at all?

  • @adamrothraisdead bein a non conformist° just being yourself, cuz sometimes people are just being themselves by just fitting themselves in the box where they think they belong, sad but true

  • @znubzz188 If you think for yourself and make your own decisions, then you're a nonconformist...It has nothing to do with how you dress or how you act. If you think, dress, and act how members of a group that you fancy yourself a part of are expected to...Then you're a conformist.

  • @boogiebuddy01 trite, glib.

  • @Manusturbo good word useage

  • @boogiebuddy01 sardonic, blasé.

  • @Manusturbo sigh

  • @boogiebuddy01 weary, exasperated.

  • @boogiebuddy01

its kinda weird how there is no conformity and there never was, we dont't fit in/ even with ourselfs

  • @boogiebuddy01 If it wasn't back then, it sure as hell is now..

  • who is that

    how old was he here

  • @boogiebuddy01 it's Eye from the band Boredoms. he's probably around 18 years old in this video

  • i outright reject modern civilization and this is the national anthem of my anarchist non-state. all those who stand with me make some noise!

  • 活動再開しないだろうな

  • I wish I had seen them live

  • SO this is WHY I NEVER EVER stand in the front line XD

  • HANATARASH/BOREDOMS FOREVER!

Such a shame about gerogerigegege (how juntaro stopped it and is either in an institution/dead/completely vasnished) and gero 30 and how hes too old to play on stage now, but their discography will always be a testament to how awesome they were, ROCK N ROLL!

  • cyberpunk

  • Samoriahisafaggot is a faggot

  • you are shit

  • I'm sorry have you heard their AIDS-A-Delic CD?

I stopped listening about 3 minutes in. I love Hanatarash's live shit, but their studio recordings are boring.

  • Yes ive heard the Aids-A-Delic Cd.

    Its... strange you know.

    Not the real hanatarash.

But the early Hanatarash recordings are awesome, fuckin AWESOME!!!

  • Meh, hanatarash is boring to me. Usually all their stuff is either bad harsh noise or this.

Just listen to Gerogerigegege if you want crazy noise.

  • Comment removed

  • i'm trying to do a project, if anyone is interested. hanatarash(i), GISM, early napalm death, swans, etc. mixed together! message me!

  • Sont fort ces nipon quand méme...

Impensable en Europe de faire tans de bordel sure scéne.

  • No music has so much energy than noise. I still love it...

  • This is the weirdest stuff. Its okay but how many of these kinds of artists/bands exist?

Even the song titles make no sense.

How many fans exist for this kind of music?

  • There are a lot of (underground) Hanatarash fans, probably more than you would expect, although it's of course extremely far away from the mainstream. There also are a lot of noise bands, but most of them do something totally different from Yamatzuka and his eYe.

  • There are TONS of harsh noise artists from japan alone. Merzbow is one of the better known noise artists period, with acts such as Masonna and Hijo Kaidan following close behind. Noise elsewhere also has some great artists: Rotten Piece, Rubbish, Belltonesuicide, Prurient ... its a pretty diverse genre, as not all noise is presented in the same style or harshness.

As for fans, you can definitely count myself and at least 4200+ others on Roil Noise Records' myspace page alone. And more everyday.

  • Of course, not all harsh noise & related genre artists come from just one label. There's plenty of labels out there, some professional cassette, CD and vinyl distros, others modest netlabels.

Want reccomendations? I discover new noise almost everyday and it never gets tiring, not even the newer "shitcore" thats occasionally looked down upon by most "oldschool" noise fans.

Noise even made it to the mainstream: just look up Metal Machine Music by Lou Reed.

    Zero. Fucking. Boundaries.

  • what about merzbow and sutcliffe jugend, kk null and tabata? they are all well known in alot of scene's.. big hardcore raves even have noise and alikes in it. noise is (finally) becoming mainstream, not that people may know its actually a genre and/or will like it enough to promote. it stays noise and only people with a open mind and wide view of music will understand and like this music.. it may be mainstream but not really populair.. thank god

  • I second that. Though your query intrigues me: how is Merzbow "mainstream"? I'm sorry to say I haven't heard of the others but I'll definitely give them a look.

I also think that scene kid involvement is steadily increasing in noise. Most seem to be joke noise, noise grind or shitcore. I'd cite OxRxRx and some RedSK stuff as examples. Whether or not this will ruin the genre or if it will bring it into increased popularity is up for debate. Personally, I'd guess probably not to both.

  • well i ment to say mainstream as in.. if you visit raves or are a little known with breakcore, hardcore, digital hardcore etc. not mainstream as in Mtv and all that. and if you never heard of sutcliffe jugend kk null and tabata and i never heard of your artist then maybe it really comes down to where you live.. in holland weve had

  • many

  • PART2:

festivals with sutcliffe jugend and you the others that ive named are the most populair ones here. RedSK is underground to me. i dont know what to expect. I never saw a live noise act, but if i would want to, it wouldnt be hard.. underground partys (except for tekno) are really hard to find....

  • @whitedragonawa

    many....

    many many fans

Today noise like this is really popular in the world of underground

  • hello,

Anybody out there with more hanatarash vids, please write me,I have some...

  • punk rock. you don't see stuff like this at Warped Tour!

  • Cause kids dont want to buy this sort of stuff!

  • your dad sucking a tramp for spare change was the gayest thing i saw.

  • this looks fun

  • great...

  • Damn, I used to have a video of a full Hanatarash live set, it was of this gig. It lasted about half an hour, Eye got taken off stage in the end by security/police for doing too much damage. Towards the end of the set, the drummer stops drumming and him and Eye destroy the drumkit. But I lost the video, cos my computer crashed :(

  • That's Cock Aktion. I was pretty disappointed with that one, nothing really happens. Apparently there's a full length Live 88 video out there which looks a lot more exciting. Still looking for it, so far I've only seen it on some Japanese video network, and you've gotta register to see it. Ever tried registering on a site written in Jap?? :7(((

  • Yeah, I'm kind of surprised.... Why does he even bother?

I guess if Eye himself asked for it, I would take it down.. (reluctantly)

  • Got this recently in the mailbox...

    Hi,

    This is BOREDOMS Management, BORETRONIX>

EYE has just send me your YOU-TUVEand ask to take his Hanatarash Video Clip off from YOU-TuVE.

  • Don't take it down! It's such a great video.

  • Take it off YOU-TUVE but leave it here on youtube. Problem solved. :)

  • @RoiloGolez

what song is this? not the video, the song playing?

  • @centerrightpunk it is most likely improvised.

  • @centerrightpunk is call noise god-noise, or king of noise

    EAT SHIT NOIZAAA!!!!

  • @centerrightpunk

    God-Noise-God

  • i think i saw this one on eMpTyV-78

  • Noo, they aired it on VHate 1 for Christmas a couple of years ago. Seasons Greetings!

  • Good beat but hard to dance to.

  • Does anyone have footage of him driving the tractor through the wall?

  • Hah, that's actually the "Cock Action" video: crazy drums and a crazy performance... one of my favorites!

  • Woh shiatch

  • Did he really cut up a dead cat on stage?!

  • According to what I can read of the Japanese text onscreen, he damaged one live house so much it had to be closed down. In another instance, he started a fire, 170 had to be taken to hospital (I guess- there's one unreadable word in there, but I probably would have heard about it if there were 170 dead) and 600 000 yen worth of damage was caused.

  • GODDAMN!!

  • 170 were not killed, of course.I'm japanese. The text says that EYE act, lighting fire on gasoline was stopped, almost, nearly.(I guess he wanted someone who stop it.) He's not so crazy,at least that he cannot play music in public space. Sorry for cheap English.

  • O.O 170 people to the Hospital?! My God! Are these guys still performing?!

  • No, Eye has moved on, and is now playing mainstream krautrock in Boredoms, a group that offends no one and which everyone likes. I appreciate that.

  • Krautrock=mainstream? That's a pretty bold statement to make. Calling Boredoms such is an even bolder statement.

  • Oh, krautrock has sold millions of records and even more millions of concert tickets through the years. Eye started Boredoms because he needed to go commercial, the stuff he was doing was negative and dangerous. Hanatarash was never going to sell much, and if you destroy every venue you play, you'll have no gig earnings either. Eye reinvented himself and now he's on Sony, how much more mainstream can you get?!?

  • Well, yeah, if you compare the madness of Hanatarash with Boredoms, and I do know that Sony is the mainstream of the mainstream, but in all honesty, their music does not really represent the mainstream. There are no trends based off Boredoms that have thousands of wide-eyed teenagers following it, they do not get much air play on the radio, hell, ask people who listen to other artists on Sony. Chances are they probably won't know who they are.

  • But did Hantarashi beat up the audience or did they just hop around on stage?

  • The did'nt directly beat up the audience, but at some of their show fans had to sign a form saying that they would'nt sue the band if they got injured by something the band threw around eg plates of glass, bottles, bits of metal etc.

But Yamatsuka Eye did famously drive a bulldozer through the wall of a venue onto the stage.

Wish i could have seen them live back in the day.

  • Recently I got into GG Alin, so i was wondering if they were comparable.

the photos of the bulldozer gig are funny, the whole crowd are up against the walls keeping their distance.

  • Ah i see, yes i think i would rather see Hanatarash than GG Allin, i dont mind risking the violence, but when it comes to throwing feces at the audience i kinda draw the line. But it would be fun to drop kick him in the head. But he's dead now anyway.

  • You can't tell the difference between commercial and mainstream, sorry, I got a bit late to the argument

  • And you didn't have anything new to add, either. "Commercial" isn't a genre. There are boybands that fail and cult bands that succeed. It is true that Eye lost so much money on Hanatarash, he went personally bankrupt. It is true that he wanted to make a more commercial group, and it is true that he succeeded; The Boredoms are a pretty big little cult band, selling some 70 000 units of each album and touring the world. What part of this is it that you don't like?

  • The text says 170 were not killed nearly. His lighting fire on gasoline was stopped almost.I'm a japanese.

  • I know I read an interview somewhere and Eye said, yes, but he didn't kill the cat, it was found roadkill.

  • another Hanatarash video uploaded on my channel !!

    Check it out !!

  • Hanatarashi for the win. Yamatsuka Eye is a total legend. Awesome video.

  • That's the most retarded thing I've ever seen.

  • FUCK YOU!!!!

  • Yeah, isn't it the best?

  • who needs hollywood?

  • Yamatsuka Eye = good x 24,004 / 7
