@StylishStar88 Hi mate. Dave from Circles here. The riff you are referring to never actually made it onto The Compass. It's in a track called "Layers". This song hasn't been scrapped, but it is being workshopped. If all goes well, it will be on the full length. Cheers!

We tune to drop-B on 6strings and also for some of the heavier songs we have the 6th tuned down to Ab. We use 12-60gauge strings.

I happen to think the singer is awsome, The idea of having to find a voice to fit music is bullshit!

There is a flood of music that is all sounding the same at the moment, and bands like this break that mould and stand out.

Heavy does'nt always mean just screaming, and Soft does'nt always mean just singing.

And singing in key, is singing in key, if your out of key screaming wont fix it, just like a guitar...if its out of tune, distortion wont make it sound like its in tune.

Just a thought..

@Tocolorthetruth im not shitting on you or anything but im like 100% sure the vocalist has nothing to do with how unique these guys mixing the djent riffing with heavy beats and computers was unique without the singer that alone through my attention towards them but there singer voice just aint as powerful as the instrumentals

your singer really ruins your style you should get a sceamer of some sort it really hurts to listen to you guys with that guy singing but instrumentals are sick and very creative but that singer as to go trust me you will get so much farther with the band if get a guy who can singer better and scream

@recklessreason all you hear is screaming these days, i prefer dynamic vocals with lots of range, not just mindless incoherent growls n shit,, just my opinion, but it never hurts to try thinking outside the box.

@iamajoo i agree with you bro but that type of singing in frontlines just didnt match it sounded way off key tone and pitch the reason people started screaming in bands is to match the pitch with the distortion of the guitars so it sounds more on key then it really is and circles used a pretty low tuning they guy just doesnt belong with them
