why do it this way if you catch the level it turns into a level 100 also make sure there is room in your pack or you wont be able to take mew out of your pc

if you hold down and B as you let the poke ball go it gives it increases the chance of catching a pokemon. Also if you hold <-- and tap A as you attack it gives you more chances of getting critical strikes. either both of those things or true or my 7-9 year old self is retarded

@scottish789 your wrong im sorry to say, the game takes into account the enemies health, its status and the ball you are using to catch it, those factors directly affect the catch rate, nothing else.

yea but it's a cheat that was put in the game on purpose. it's like in the game Cel Damage, if you pick a certain name you will be able to pick the specialty characters or THPS 3 you can get Ollie the Magic Bum and others. I could go on and on with all the games that have this type of so called "cheat". Just think of Mew as a specialty character.

the pokedex info is ther because there was a legitimate way of getting it. the glitch was a result of a couple of conflicting lines in the games play rules. it would take months to sort those few lines out, cause it would fuck the game up if they werent careful, so it got left in. its a accidental glitch deliberately left in

theres a different way, theres this one guy that stands in front of a door that he wont let u thru, stand in front of him and pause immediately, and fly to that city and battle that guy, but u have 2 be where he has to walk to you instead of u being rite in front of him, then fly to lavandar and head east a mew will appear

u can easily great ball it and itll catch it if u do it right, ultra ball is quicker tho. If you do the massingo cheat, you can get unlimited master balls so THEN you can master ball him :)

As long as there is a trainer that sees you and has a ! pop up at the same time he/she appears on your screen and another trainer that you can make walk to you that you haven't beaten yet somewhere in the game, you can get a Mew.

This is the Yellow way...

I know the real way (Well, another way at least) of getting it (Also works in Blue/Red)...

It's easy...

Instead of using teleport with Abra, you just use some random Pokémon with fly...

Instead of the trainer in the grass, you will have to fly away from the guy directly under the Lavender-side entrance to the underground tunnel...

Instead of teleporting back to Cerulean, you fly to Lavender, and go to the path on the left, to find Mew...

Easy-peasy!
