That is of a video of a car that cost a total of $4000 to build, runs mid 9's at 138MPH in the 1/4, using a junkyard 5.3, You can't even get a stage 2 head for a 2JZ for that money, and I seen the price of a stage 5 head and it was $15,000!! WTF?? Moral of the story, Supras require rich owners to go fast. $ for $ GM can't be beat.
I'd take both cars. They're Rare Imports (with the GTO being a Holden). Better than having a car everyone else has (Corvette, Mustang, Camaro, M3, 350z/370Z)

Jgorerowe BPU can actually go up to what ever the stock turbos and stock fuel system will produce, BPU mean basic performance upgrades, meaning bolt-ons, my Supra when it was BPU was at 502whp, stock twins and stock fuel system, just depends on your setup
wow for just an upgraded exhaust, that goat did good. supra is just a more lighter, better built car. taller gears, in the trani and rear, thats prob y they always take a while to go, then turbos spool and boom, take off. i mean the damn supra comes stock with huge ass street radials, more sleek aero desing. kinda why they costed 45k new haha. to bad the poniac doesnt way like 600 lbs less. else i think the race wouldve ended a lil diff.

I have a june of 1994 Motor Trend article of the supra turbo & it did 0-60 in 4.8 & ran the 1/4 in 13.3 @ 106 (Stock) & tops out at 157 mph (Gov) I guess these Supra Turbo's really respond to mods b/c of their turbo's. I don't know too much about these cars except that their pretty fast.

The only thing that t-72, t04z, t-88, t51r etc supra's will have is the lag.. after the lag its all power and wheelspin in a lot of cases.. once they can put the power down, they have a very good chance of winning
2JZ-GTE.. these engines are way over engineered and have been proving to hold over 600hp on stock internals with some people in the states running 800+.. the turbos are not the real power maker but rather the engine with supported mods.. the most your gonna see out of a BPU supra is gonna be between 450-470hp on stock twins, after that a single turbo is the only way to reel in the big HP
@IrishChris1979 Not every Supra has won a race that was posted on youtube. Take a look at the turbo Trans Am vs turbo Supra. That's just to name one but there are more where the Supra lost.
