There's much more to this video. The woman in question was clearly impeding the officers while they were lawfully performing their duties. Along with additional infractions, she committed assault the moment she made intentional contact with the officer. I personally feel he was beyond the scope of his duties by striking her, however.

@TheHumangous As I mentioned, after watching the ENTIRE video (NOT this one) it seems that while the officer was perhaps out of the scope of his duties in striking the woman, she clearly committed multiple violations including assault on a peace officer. Things can happen very quickly in a situation like that. Close quarters, multiple offenders, physical contact and firearms don't mix well. The officers don't know whether you're trying to pull their are away or go for their sidearm.

There's much more to this video. The woman in question was clearly impeding the officers while they were lawfully performing their duties. Along with additional infractions, she committed assault the moment she made intentional contact with the officer. I personally feel he was beyond the scope of his duties by striking her, however.

@TheHumangous As I mentioned, after watching the ENTIRE video (NOT this one) it seems that while the officer was perhaps out of the scope of his duties in striking the woman, she clearly committed multiple violations including assault on a peace officer. Things can happen very quickly in a situation like that. Close quarters, multiple offenders, physical contact and firearms don't mix well. The officers don't know whether you're trying to pull their are away or go for their sidearm.

@RiKonBoxers So your argument is that she should not experience consequences because of her gender?? This has NOTHING to do with gender. There are consequences for actions; this situation is no different. The clearly video shows actions which could lead to her being charged with assault, battery, impeding, and resisting (just to name a few.) She made the choice to get involved in the situation; she is responsible for her actions and the consequences of said actions, regardless of gender.
