  • Excellent, you play better then me when I learned pipeline years ago.

  • That's really great !!!

  • Dude you are knocking it down....

    Well done.

  • Love the echo effect. it must be because of the stomp box, eh?

  • @mydland yup. When I shot this video like 2.5 yrs ago, I didn't have my deluxe reverb. So I used the best option available at the time: The holy Grail is a really neat toy.

  • whoa your really good!!! :))

  • @The1superbeatlefreak Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

  • Hold your head up so we can see the feeling you put into your music!

  • Oh. Sure, this video is very old. I shot this when I started learning how to play guitar two years ago... So, everything was focus and concentration. In my newer videos I kinda started looking at the camera more... check them out... you might find something else you like.

  • au contraire, he should keep it all misteryous and shit, goes well with the music...

you know, like this guys los straitjackets, with their luchador masks

  • Thanks man! I'm glad you find this mystery thing cool. I am all pro costumes and all, that is why in all my videos I either wear a hat or cover my eyes...

    Keep watching!

  • yeah, besides, its music, you are not supposed to see teh feeling, you are supposed to hear it

  • Great job, by combining your version with Stevie Ray Vaughan's; I got it down for a solo guitar.

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

  • i think it is poor i can play this is tremlo and chords and the solo basically the whole song and making it sound right...

  • good for you. When you do that post a Video Response...

  • Not bad! You could have made an appearance on the Lawrence Welk show!

  • Thank you! That is a nice compliment! This video was done a very long time ago. You should check my more recent videos, there is an improvement. Keep watching!

  • wow that was really good!! A lot better than I was expecting! GREAT JOB!! 2 thumbs up!

  • Thank you! This was on of my first videos, so, as you can see it's plagued with mistakes, but I made a big effort. Check my latest videos to see if you find something else that you like. Keep watching!

  • Thanks, man! Thanks for the support. I uploaded this video a loooong time ago... probably about nine months... Check the new videos... specially Frenesick, Swingin' on Pier 13 or Molly's Chambers, there is a noticeable change... Keep Watching...

  • And band called JFA created a version of this song mixed with a Dead Kennedys song called Policetruck. Their song is called "pipetruck".

  • Oh! I Youtubed JFA... Oh, man! Those guys are amazing! Thanks for the advice... Keep watching...

  • if you're into surf music..look into getting that Fender Jaguar! i have one and you wont regret buying one as well.

  • Oh! man... I'd really love to have one of those, but I'm also in the market for something rare... well, not rare, but unique in a way... have you heard of EASTWOOD GUITARS? Those guys make really cool stuff... check their web page: eastwoodguitars(dot)com

I am planning to buy the airline town and country deluxe guitar they have there... cool stuff!

  • dude that guitar is so trippy looking!

haha when you get it post some vids of you playing it please.

    Surf's up!

  • and hey one more question! where did you get the backing track specifically the Chantay's version?!

  • It comes in a tablature book by Hal Leonard. It is vol 23 from the collection Guitar Play along. Pretty cool, comes with a cd with the original version and another version without the lead guitar which is the one you have to play.

You can find at amazon and the ISBN code is

    ISBN 0-634-07365-6.

    Good luck!

    Arturo.

  • Dude, what about them mosrites? nice playing. I'm learning myself too :)

  • Thanks for the compliment... hehehe... Mosrite guitars are a little bit out of my budget... those things sell for over 2 G's! Well, I hope that your playing gets better... check my latest videos... they sound better now that I have a little more training on the guitar... Surf Rules!

  • good job!

  • Thanks for the comments... When I uploaded this video I was just starting to play guitar... There are a lot of mistakes in the playing, but after almost a year, I think I have improved a little... why don't you check my channel and check out the latest three videos that I posted... Those are better played... Thanks again for the comments and keep watching...

  • I've seen your latest videos and channel and I can tell that you have improved your technic, that's very good! I also have noticed that you can make your guitars sound better then entry level, and that's pure talent!! keep it up!!

  • Thanks man... Yeah, I have improved a little bit, I would be lying if I told you I haven't noticed... I would love to play better, but that will come with time, practice and some lessons... Cuz everything you saw in the channel, is nothing but self taught... I need lessons and next month I will enrole in some classes, you know, guitar stuff... Thanks for watching and the support... Surfs up!

  • I need to go explore Surf Guitar some more - sounds like fun!!

  • It is a lot of fun! And for some strange reason, this music genre is gaining a lot of popularity in Latin America, Spain and Germany... There are a lot of great bands around... Dig into it... you might get caught... hehehe... keep watching

  • dude this is fucking awesome

    5/5

  • Thanks dude... Check my other videos, specially "Rames" "Aquavulva" and "Calipso A go-go"... you're gonna like'em...

  • my guitar teacher taught me this but ur way better than me. y dont u do the slide at the beginning?

  • Well... in the video response to this video, I do the slide thing. First, It IS the amplifier and the effects you are using the thing that sounds better. If you use reverb whenever you are playing you will see an abismal change in your sound, so try it...

  • pretty good!

  • Thanx man... I'm working on getting a 5 star 100% perfect performance... he, he... I hope I can get there before I die...
