  • Thank you for sharing this helpful information. I feel more competent now looking after my GS boy. Hes on you tube too as a barking star worldwide. Had i seen this video earlier i would have saved my 9 year old girl who passed away a month ago. "Thanks again" from David (has been a sad month)

  • can anybody help me my 5 months old german sheperd has a lump on his back its like a bruise but it dosent hurt him when i touch it that's what scares me please help me !!!

  • Can a gsd get bloat I've had a dog die from that recently if they're really prone to it i'll go into a panic when they run Or play please write back to me anyway 5/5 stars

  • @superwolflover99 Yes they can bloat just as many other deep chested dog breeds can and it is very serious - you can read more about it on my website - just search for bloat

  • A quick question: can a GSD get bloat? I mean like easily if it's not prone to it I'll feel better about getting one. You see I've had a dog die from that recently and I really don't want it to happen again.

  • Kind of reminds me of what happend to my GSD when he was around a year old, he would get tired out real eazy, *after only walking to the mail-box*. Took him to the vet and asked them about it, said it could be a heart problem and told me to check his gum to make sure they arn't purple after he does any type of activity. His gums never turned purple and he's able to walk/run very far now. \(^.^)/

  • My GSD has been breathing really hard after she run's and plays and has started to cough up blood. I had her treated for heart worms and etc , but taking her to the vet this Monday to see what else it could be kinda worried.

  • those advices should be taken for every breed not only for the german shepherds

  • You forgot if they are excessive shaking of the head. This is more than likely an ear infection!

  • to be continued...

after visiting the vet, he is still sleeping gets awake sometimes, but refuse to play refuse to eat just a little water was enough, I am so worried about that puppy, I want him to live healthy and active..... please i need advices in what I am suppose to feed him and what condition i should keep him in, is that normal what happened to him.... is he gonna be fine? I dont have much experiance in dogs but i still want him to be fine, PLEASE HELP

  • Hi and thanks for your video,

I just got a GSD 2 months old puppy, It actually a friend puppy but when I noticed the horrible condition he used to live , I had to take him for couple days to take care of him, I took him to the vet at night and he had a high tempreture so he got the treatment I suppose, but in the morning he start vommint, diarrya and no apatite for food, sleeping alot so I had to take him back to the vet and again after checking gave him 3 injections with serop in mouth

  • Great video and information. Thank you :)

  • I understand that your just putting out the statement, but if you can't tell theres something wrong with your doign when it starts seizing, then there is just no hope for you...

  • r u fat and stupid, my dogs need to know?

  • my two sweet germans are something smarter then you by far. at least they know the difference of a BALL and FREZ-BE. if they are sick of coarse i take my beloved ones to the vet. i watch them everyday. if something is abnormal by any means , the vet will know...... your just busing your own health problems ya dum dum...

  • jesus christ, do u have to be told this? if you do then u shouldnt have a dog

  • my dog has been vomiting today and has had diarrhea but i took him to the vet and she said that he has a high temprature and a upset stomach, she also said my gsd must of eaten something which has caused this so do you think he will be ok because he has not felt sick after the vet give him a sickness injection, but overall i hope he is not badly poorly i just hope it was just a upset stomach please reply to give me your opinion thanks!

  • Well done

  • anyone dumb enough to ignore their dog when it has a seizure doesnt deserve one.

  • @a69a59b i agree..

  • @a69a59b

    Agreed.

  • @a69a59b anyone dumb enough to ignore their dog during a seizure, should kill themselves as soon as possible because they are a danger to the creed of man

  • My GS and I used to run and play fetch for 3 hours a day and she was really active and what not. due to issues with the neighbors we can not train like we used to she eats about 1/3 of what she used to. It is getting hot out where i live so im thinking its a combination of these that shes not eating as much. should i be worried?

  • what :( naw I hope there should be nothing wrong with anyone's GS :( :(

  • Stngraybch, there is NO DEFINITIVE cause of Gastric Tortion, or Bloat as it is commonly known. Excessive exercise soon after eating IS ONE POSSIBLE CAUSE of Gastric Tortion. Feeding a quality food is a good start to preventing Gastric Tortion. The more definitive symptoms of Gastric Tortion are RESTLESSNESS, INABILITY TO GET COMFORTABLE, CRYING OR WHINING WHEN LYING DOWN, and CONSTANT DROOLING. It is possible to have the dogs stomach stitched to the chest wall to PREVENT this condition.

  • She's wrong about waiting. If you dog vomits more than once, get to the vet ASAP. Bloat happens if your dog is active too soon after eating. Give them about an hour for stomach to rest before activity.

  • My German Shepherd loves to raid the trash can. When we empty coffee grounds into the trash we never considered that this is pure poison for a GSD. Diarreah, Vomitting etc..Keep your "stinky trash" and especially your coffee grounds OUT of your trash if your GSD likes to raid your trash !!!!!!

  • My relative's german shepherd puppy died this week :'( His mother just died too and the puppy wasn't even a year old. It was the disease where their stomach bloats and twists and the dog drinks or eats too fast. R. I. P. Buddy

  • @RandomKitty17 ooohhh man thats horrible man oohhhh man i feel really sorry man oohh man!! ... RIP doggy.. really sorry man...

  • Sick German Shepherds????

0:46 if you find one of the symptoms on your pet, you really need to go to the doctors, no matter if German Shepherd or NOT!!

So change the title please. This only irritates people, mannnnn :-(!
