  • i gotta admit i do bicep curls etc but i dont rely on them.compound exersises should be atleast 90 percent of your weight training program just for the fact that they work more muscles in just one exersise and it saves more time so your not there tryna work each muscle group at a time cause compound ones work more than just one muscle so your not gonna be wasting any time or your energy

  • Day two is the cheezzzzzzburger day. While on hiatus, Vince likes to pack on the poundage by eating meatless burgers. I get a better workout jerking myself. Plus, who does a warm up set of two 45 pound plates for a lying bench press? I'd like to see you do three more sets after that with increasing weight on each! I don't think so. That's unrealistic.

    Here is a good way to pack on a good looking ripped body: Technique, diet, some cardio, routine, increase pounds per set and vary workouts.

  • why is your right arm falling lower than your left when you bring the weight down?

  • because he is starting his warm up set with too heavy of a weight to be cool.

  • Is it good to do a Sauna, Steam Room or Hot tub after a work out, or is it better to go for a cold shower?

  • No, do the cold shower. The cold shower is going to take swelling down from your muscles and help remove lactic acid. Some guys even do ice baths.

  • yes but cold showers also restrict blood flow to muscles. i'd rather have some pain than no bloodflow.

    that's why you do it AFTER the work out

    it'll only temporarily restrict the blood flow in your muscles, not cut off the entire circulation or anything

    so it'll last for like what, an hour?

    by the next time you hit the gym, your muscles won't be sore or tired at all

    and if you're still a bit insecure about the whole blood flow thing, warm up!

    trust me, cold showers do you good

    I like jumping in the sauna for 15mins after a workout, then cold shower, then another 15mins in the sauna.

  • so i guess the dips are at the end, 1 set as many as possible

  • everyone complains about no results if you go to the gym or not go jogging swimming or run on hte treadmill atleast for 1 hour or more

    So, 5-7 first rep at high weight

    then, 10-12 with a little less weight and so on?

  • I feel its better to make your progressive sets equally as hard if not harder than your previous sets. You're training your muscles to lift more weight this way, not less.

  • Yeah, Vince said that you HAVE to make sure you're reaching failure inside the rep ranges he's setting up for you. So if you have to drop all the weight off a bar to get into those rep ranges then so be it. You'll get stronger eventually and will be able to keep the weight on, just keep at it.

  • I think this might really work for me. I used to work out with a very high volume and a lot of sets to bulk up, but my muscles grew the most when did my short workouts because of lack of time and just rested for the rest of the day.

    i am prepared to exercise 6-8 hours a day.

  • it all comes down to calories. what determines if you gain or lose weight is how much you eat and what you eat

  • Yup, I have Vince's muscle building program and in it he says that you CAN NOT build mass and lose weight at the same time. You either have to bulk up while gaining some fat and THEN cut, or you just stay lean, but you won't make nearly the same gains in the same time.

  • do not exercise 6-8 hours a day.45 mins max 4 days a week.If your going for a competition 5-6 days.6-8 hours a day gives you no time for recovery.Maybe ur built like Arnold but if not stick to what Vince says in his e-books.I would recommend that.Its awesome

  • intenese cardio unless your like 350+ then jog walk.

  • get cheat your way thin program it works and you get to eat your fave foods every 5-7 days on a "cheat day"

  • no one works out for 6-8 hours a day you're just gonna burn yourself out. more isn't always better.

    and more important than anything else is your diet. you can do the toughest workouts, but you're not gonna make any significant difference if you're not on a healthy diet.

  • three set is the max Emount of sets that youcould perform at you highest level of volume and if you canget that edge with 2 or even on the first set more power ta ya

    but 3 set is as high as you go. its about workingout for the long run not about running your self for a long workout.
