  • Boiling HOT water will do the same thing. Dip the fletch in till straight then run cold water on them right away and they will set.

  • thanks for all the tips man, just found your channel. using some of your tips on my DIY pvc bow.

  • Hey Kenny, You ain't got nothing to worry about. Most folks will still get them re-fletched and spend that money. Thanks for burning that last one so we all don't feel bad when we do it to....lol

  • Most plastic does this. :D Think it has to do with tension in the polymer, and the freedom applied my a light melt. Contracts to a "minimum", and the curves force themselves out. S'my best guess.

  • @Lunumbrus by*

  • This works great, and the reason why the good old boy' or grass roots system for sportsmen is still best. No one else would share this, they have nothing to gain from it.

  • Just fred it with my zippo and it worked very well. Thanks so much for the tip!!!

  • If I hand a bow without a D-loop, how do i find the nok point to put a D-loop on.???????

  • Is that the foam-like fletching or the plastic fletching?

  • man, great tip, straightened my fletchings right out. thanks

  • im pretty the heat shrinks the plastic to its original shape and size

  • ill try this could it be that the heat relaxes the battered material letting it lay flat prob obviouse but just the same

  • dude I just tried this and it worked great I had to use matches but it still worked fine mine just got kinda black nothin I can't clean off though

  • Very useful

  • Dude' I been out of the archery scene for about 17 years and have resently gottin back into it, alot of new items and

Extras out here nowadays. Your tips and ideas have already surpassed my knowledge

Above and beyond my cousin's who has never left the bowhunting scene. So it's great fun teaching him things now lol . Thanks for the videos '

  • dont do this on vynal or bad things can happen

  • i watched this two late lol one of my fletches are all ready riped off

  • nice it worked now i don't have to refletch my arrow

  • niice vid but if ur worried you will burn it, use a hair dryer on high heat. it works good but not as fast

  • lol yeah but what if you are in the feild without power?

  • ha good point

  • @grttaxi No offense but this is a fix that should be done before going into the field...I learned something new though so thanks for the video brotha

  • @nickf1229 subscribed

  • @grttaxi use a battery drive one :-) lighter works awesome

  • This is a great tip it straigtens because heat shrinks the plastic

  • @rals301 dumbass, heat expands items. Didn't you learn anything in school ?

  • kenny keep them coming... i'm form germany and i totally love your vids!

i learned so much from you even i'am shooting recurve

  • im 17 ...does that mean i can try it at home ???? haha

  • dude you are so fucking awesome...I've learned so much from you.

  • good tip, thanks!

  • yep

  • works great, thanks for telling me, but ill have to fix the ones that have holes in it...

  • The hair straightener works perfect lol

  • I was thinkin of a way to straighten them the other day and thought a hair straightener might work. I'm about to try it lol

  • Thank you very much now i aint gotta go to gander mtn.Last time I went they lost my arrows.I made them give me free ones though haha

  • that i must try some of my arrows.

  • worked great my arrows fly a lot straighter

  • verry good i love lill tips like that

  • worked great thanx

  • You can also lay your fletching down on a flat surface and steam out the wrinkles with an iron. Place the fletching on the edge of a work bench and but a sock or rag on top of it. Then put your iron on steam and steam it through the sock or rag.

  • works so good, i was gona get my arrows refletched but instead i did wat he said and now ther all fine

  • just an assumption the heated plastic tightens up and i guess that why the waves on the plastic fletching goes away =)

  • Jeez, awesome! Walked into the den and grabbed 5 of my arrows that had 3.125" QuikSpins all wrinkled up like the one in the video. Took a candle lighter and passed to flame over them. Voila! Absolutely straight fletchings! Not a wrinkle! Thanks a million.

  • wow it's so simple. thx a lot!

    your vids are great!

  • Thank you soo much for this tip i would have had to hurt someone for beating up my fletchings so they rippled in fight

  • boiling water works well also

  • thanx for the tip i did that to all my arrows and it works great so thanx

  • Gooood! I used a hairdryer :)

  • WOW!!!!!. This could of saved me from fetching 100 of arrows.

  • holy crap!!!! thanks!!!!

  • Tried this and works great. On a box of old fletchings that i have it says they can be reformed with a hair dryer. Haven't tried it but just throwing that out there. It might not be so easy to burn your fletchings this way.

  • i did this and it works great

  • Well, I suppose I'm just like everyone else. I tried this as soon as I saw it. I saw it work on the video, but still couldnt believe it when it started working on my arrow. Once agian Kenny, great job!!!!

  • thank you so much for this useful information. I'm going to go try this out right now. Keep it up. I subscribed to you and all. Please keep on doing these great tips. and btw. is there any way that you can put up a video on how to properly use a peep sight without using the peep tubing. I have no idea how to use them. thank you

  • thanks mine kept on getiing messed up

  • An extremely useful tip. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and what not to do.

  • thank you or other language kiitos

  • SWEET! That is great. Hot water works well also with plastic decoys gettting the dents out.

  • thanks for the tip

  • I've tried this on an old arrow and it worked well! Now the fletches are flat again [i also burned one a little, showing what not to be done ;)].

  • Kenny, this is a great tip, THANKS,i'll try it right after finishing my comment!Obviously this material has a "memory" and returns its form after heating like the PVC.
