The only reason he was "thrown" in with the top heavy weights was because he was, and is a cash cow. I didn't know that Cain was recovering from an injury. It's still a better fight, regardless. He wasn't thrown into a shark tank. He trained for a couple years before he fought in the UFC. I don't mind that he has fans, that's fine. What I mind, is that good quality fights are being overlooked so that they can cash in on the popularity of their prize cash cow. Junior Dos Santos vs. Cane Velasquez makes much more sense from a win/loss perspective, and stylistically.

The only reason he was "thrown" in with the top heavy weights was because he was, and is a cash cow. I didn't know that Cain was recovering from an injury. It's still a better fight, regardless. Junior vs. Frank Mir is better, Junior vs. Nog is better, Junior vs. Randy Couture. There are plenty of heavy weight fighters that they could set him up against. Brock Lesnar is a steadily improving fighter, but he's still years behind any decent striker.

You keep saying Randy couture would be a better fight for Dos santos.....but wait a minute. Did'nt brock beat couture? so i really dont understand what makes you think Couture is a better match up for dos santos. his stand up is not technical. couture had a hard time because Brock is bigger, and with that, comes longer reach and bigger fists, certainly not because brock's boxing is anything special.
how much did couture weigh in that fight? 220, compared to brock who was 285?
the weight class for heavyweight needs to be split so that guys like brock are fighting on the same level as his opponents. his size is pretty much the reason he has won.

How many times do I have to say that I know that Brock won the fight. Just because he was the victor, doesn't mean that he didn't get the shit beat out of him before he won. In this industry if you possess great technique, cardio and having an iron chin thats as well rounded as it gets. Some of the best fighters in history lack lesnars chin and athletitism.
Your forgetting Lesnar is still learning.
