Nonsense. The new score doesn't ruin ANYTHING. It adds to the picture, not destroy it. Yes, it does remove some of the more silent moments, but it also brings a more epic punch to the film, which, I think, helps it realize its true potential. Nothing about their dub seems like shambles to me.

have you watched this same scene dubed by Disney? they made a right mess! [of most of the whole thing tbh] tempted to take old sound and use the remasterd disney vid!

@badblinco I went and watched it; just to check, and yeah you're right, utter shambles. Even the remastered score takes a little away from the atmosphere of the original. If u want to mix the original over the Hd video - good luck - i tried. It seems the new release is longer - has some added bits, and even similar scenes don't sync properly. Though i was told many years ago the original Dub came included with a Dvd import from Japan. - though i'v never seen any other footage posted.

@CaptainOvide That's because this was a TV broadcast; the Japanese DVD DOES have this older dub uncut, but I personally wouldn't recommend it unless you're a truly diehard fan. Besides, the Disney DVD, which still has the Japanese track, is basically uncut, save for the fleshed out score and extra dialogue.
