  • i dont know where he is but it seems it is old peoples day!

  • Did you insert a clear optical glass window in place of the IR filter you removed? Or did you just close it up after removing the IR filter?

Might do this to my S1, havent used it lately anyhow... was thinking of getting an old film camera for messing around with infrared, but this seems 1) more fun 2) i already have the camera :d

  • I dont get what he did....

  • Digital cameras are capable of caturing a wider spectrum then that of the human eye. This includes the Inrafred spectrum.

Most, if not all camera manufacturers fit a infrared filter to prevent this spectrum from being captured. This can make things very difficult If you intend to take infrared photos, as longer exposure times are needed due to the filter. Our guy removes the filter inorder to cature the infrared spectrum. Beware! this may prevent the autofocus from working in some cameras :)

  • He opened the camera and removed the internal infrared blocking filter (that little piece of glass the he held up and showed for a few seconds) after that, he reassembled the camera and put a filter over the lens to block visible light...

  • not to be the perv, but you know you can see through likr swimming suits with i.r. filters? its totally sweet
