Wow. Cypher didn't play that well in the beginning, and strenx was even worse. He had complete control, yet he didn't rack up too many kills against cypher. Then when cypher had control he gave him so many free frags. I don't get it, strenx isn't stupid, but sometimes it just seems like he gives up or doesn't care.
The frag at 09:33? That was just retarded. Why did strenx jump down? He had no chance of getting the RA, it was obvious cypher was going for it.
@iflifegivesyoumelon1 Type /bind KEY weapon 0 into the (~) console (or find the keyboard config in the menu) ... and they use it sometimes after spawning because it's silent and at close range can be more effective than mg. Plus it's a pretty big insult if you can pummel your opponent at the pro level =P
He must have been off his game I've never seen Cypher miss so many jumps/pickups and other things. Poor guy, I hate it when I play a little off like that, takes the wind right out of my sails.

I know cypher is kinda great, yet I wonder what happened to him in just one year, because he is so slow compared to his 2008 matches, getting slower with age in just one year doesn't look reasonable, hm, lack of practice, maybe =/
Seems reasonable to me. QL is just getting established as a viable esport platform. Why should he bust his nuts figuring out all the tricks to remain in #1 when allowing up and comers to bear some of that helps him as well. I think easing off and relaxing for a bit, getting challenged is a really good thing for the long term.
I think the ESL Dubai tourney was the best performance from Cypher I've ever seen (the whole tourney). I don't think he practices less. I think the competition just grew so much better since Quake Live that they make his game look worse.
@wateri14 disagree, cypher was dominant in ESWC 08 and Qcon 08, IEM dubai he had a fairly easy group and had 1 or 2 good playoff matches, wouldn't say it was his best performance, he doesnt look as good as he used to look, that's for sure
