  • WOW. Gorgeous! I've only seen the Northern Lights once, in Michigan, and I was transfixed in the middle of a residential street for 15 minutes. Not a single car passed. It was a magical moment. Thanks for posting. Namaste.

  • Just a note about this DVD segment. These 20 images were taken on the night of August 11th, 2000 from a vantage point 5000' high in eastern Lane County Oregon.during a very powerful geomagnetic storm. The Northern Lights were seen as far south as northern California on the West Coast. Two of the images show streaks from the Perseid Meteor shower which was very active this night as well. Orion, consort of the goddess Aurora rises in the last slide at dawn. JF
