i use a spider ii combo at home as a practise amp and i had used it onstage. it's fine for a solid state amp, but obviously it's nothing like you'd get with a valve amp.
it's quite nice turning up to shows with arrogant metal guitarist with 5150's and blowing them away with my spider valve though, it's just so customisable in tone and it has enough oomph to back it up, y'know?
@ZeroThomas5 i have the spider 3 75watt, and it is epic! you can get great tones out of it, save them and click between them with the pedal... and u can get a lot of gain and distortion out of it :)
Mm that's the unfortunateness of putting the camera between my monitors and not on my amp. That's the unfortunateness of recording it with a bloody stills camera anyway, hehe. I recorded it pretty late at night, too. Lousy parents' house :p

Not really, it took me quite a while to learn that properly. Just make sure to use your right wrist effectively to keep the other strings muted, and look at what your right hand is doing. You need to be able to do the left hand stuff without looking, if you can't, practise that first.
so just practice it alot lol. I am not very patient and I get mad when I mess it up lol (-__-') .
also I'm left handed by the way. so for me I need to do the right hand stuff without looking? (:^\ . and just concentrate on the left hand tapping part?. it's hard to do that confidently and quickly :P .

It's a Line 6 Spider Valve HD100 head into a Marshall 1960A 4x12, through a CS-3 comp, GE-7 EQ, NS-2, etc.

spider 3 is an epic amp in my opinion, you can transform your tone because of the electronics in it, its is a flawless amp.
Most of the tones are also based on other amps so you can get that mesa/boogie tone on it ^^
