Yuya showed more aggression with his flying knee's/ spinning kick and chasing down drago. Again more points, whoever gets more punches doesn't always win.

Man, how is it that the last time it was Sato who kept on punching way more than Drago and it went to an extra round? And now this Yuya does more or less the same and wins. I think they interpret the rules however they want. So basically they sacrificed Sato and than Drago to put Yuya in the final 4.
This really is a bad call but also very obvious. The K1 org wants to have a countryman within the semi final. Last year Masato won after being knocked down several times. If Yuya made the same effort as Drago did fduring this fight for sure he would have won.. The only way to beat a Jap is by ko'ing him or to dominate extremely for three rounds. Unfortunately that's a fact. But luckily enough I don't see any change for Yuya in in October! Although I like his determination!

Amazing fight! In my opinion it should have been an extra round. Drago is going for KO but didn't land the right shot. Yuya landing more kicks and punches so maybe it was fair after all.

Bad bad bad decision; Drago won this fight. Yamamoto throw a lot of punches, but few of them landed. Drago was a lot more accurate. If K1 will continue with this bad decision ( especially when the winner is japanese and some people could think that K1 bends to japanese fighter..) it will lose a lot of respect.

I don't disagree that K1 bends to the Japanese Fighters (ask Kyshenko about that one), however I do think Yuya won this one. First round was either 30-29 or 30-30 Drago. The next two were all Yuya. He had an equivalent number of clean lands, and his conditioning / volume of damage was superior. All in all this was a very entertaining final 8.

Nah. Drago simply didn't work enough to take the win. Yamamoto looked to be the more dominant fighter. Dominance also gives points in K1 as is stated in the rules. Drago was never realy in trouble but he allowed Yamamoto to dictate the pace and tried mainly to take him down with powerpunches.
It's so cheap a say 'once again'. It only happened a few times. The other times the supporters of the losing party just made up stuff which wasn't there (Masato vs. Buakaw last year, Masato vs. Kyshenko). The only match which was judged false was Buakaw vs. Kohiurumaki.
Drago just doesn't block as much as he should. In terms of exchanging punches one could say there was a draw. But the low kicks that were scores, Drago just came too short. He admitted that himself.

I liked Yamamoto guard. It's rare to see a japanese fighter puting his gloves up and block good punches and kicks. Not even Masato does that.. remember Masato vs Kyoshenko? when Masato is taking blows he only wave his gloves, try to dodge, runs back or he just take the hit. lol

Man, how is it that the last time it was Sato who kept on punching way more than Drago and it went to an extra round? And now this Yuya does more or less the same and wins. I think they interpret the rules however they want. So basically they sacrificed Sato and than Drago to put Yuya in the final 4.

This really is a bad call but also very obvious. The K1 org wants to have a countryman within the semi final. Last year Masato won after being knocked down several times. If Yuya made the same effort as Drago did fduring this fight for sure he would have won.. The only way to beat a Jap is by ko'ing him or to dominate extremely for three rounds. Unfortunately that's a fact. But luckily enough I don't see any change for Yuya in in October! Although I like his determination!

I think there shouldve been an extra round imo. Drago landed more effective power strikes but Yamamoto was very impressive however threw alot of strikes and was probably being more aggressive throughout the fight.

Amazing fight! In my opinion it should have been an extra round. Drago is going for KO but didn't land the right shot. Yuya landing more kicks and punches so maybe it was fair after all.
This togheter with the "Artur Kyshenko vs Andy Souwer" fight was the most entertaing ones in "final 8".

Bad bad bad decision; Drago won this fight. Yamamoto throw a lot of punches, but few of them landed. Drago was a lot more accurate. If K1 will continue with this bad decision ( especially when the winner is japanese and some people could think that K1 bends to japanese fighter..) it will lose a lot of respect.

That is a bad decision by the judges, this fight clearly needed the 'extra round'!
I've seen plenty of fights that are far more 1 sided than this go to the 'extra round' so why not this one? .... Probably because they think the fight will have to stop because of Yuma's injury and don't want to lose the Japanese fighter. Oh well - bad luck Gago - good fight both men!

I don't disagree that K1 bends to the Japanese Fighters (ask Kyshenko about that one), however I do think Yuya won this one. First round was either 30-29 or 30-30 Drago. The next two were all Yuya. He had an equivalent number of clean lands, and his conditioning / volume of damage was superior. All in all this was a very entertaining final 8.

Nah. Drago simply didn't work enough to take the win. Yamamoto looked to be the more dominant fighter. Dominance also gives points in K1 as is stated in the rules. Drago was never realy in trouble but he allowed Yamamoto to dictate the pace and tried mainly to take him down with powerpunches.

It's so cheap a say 'once again'. It only happened a few times. The other times the supporters of the losing party just made up stuff which wasn't there (Masato vs. Buakaw last year, Masato vs. Kyshenko). The only match which was judged false was Buakaw vs. Kohiurumaki.
Drago just doesn't block as much as he should. In terms of exchanging punches one could say there was a draw. But the low kicks that were scores, Drago just came too short. He admitted that himself.
