Not only when power increases but the concept of the engine being pulled instead of pushed the fwd has the disadvantage in acceleration and handling compared to the rwd or m-rwd .

lame mans term a nicely setup front wheel drive cuts in corners faster than rwd but the rwd can slingshots out of turns better than fwd.

true fwd are not made for high power applications. once you take your foot off accel you will loose speed you can put your foot flat much earlier in an fwd than rwd, awd suffer from understeer aswell

how is awd or rwd that much better off the line they will beat fwd its not hard to set up a fwd to not understeer but its hard to set up a rwd to not oversteer and i was saying i would have a gsr over a bmw of the same price much faster acceleration
