I have a deerhead lil chihuahua "pixie", and she gets along great with my 7 cats. In fact our burmese sleeps with her to keep her warm in the winter. But then he also slept with our lil pom' tigger before he got out of the yard & hit by a car. We had just moved to a new place, she found a hole :( but a year & half later pixie was abandoned' in an apt. The manager brought her to me. She helped heal my heart . All our cats / dogs are rescues.

It's the cat's house. The dog needs to learn how to deal with the cat being there. Winston wasn't even agressive with her.

Besides, who said, other than the occasion of them holding the animals up, that the owners were forcing the confrontation? Cats are inquisitive of everything, especially other animals. Winston would have followed that dog around and sniffed it no matter what.

In any case, there's a LINE with what is classified as animal abuse. And this is certainly well behind it.
