I think it's very brave of Christopher Nolan to return this light-hearted approach to Batman, especially considering how he essentially (and single-handedly) created the "gritty reboot". Lest us not question the master though - if he could take us from Batman & Robin to Batman Begins, then I have no doubt he can successfully carry us in his new direction as one.
