nice bike, would have left it black myself, how much did it cost you to change to the yellow? and also just wondering why some people leave the jap stickers on the tank, i took them of my vtr, hopefully they are not important and how much did you sell it for because i am considering selling mine to upgrade to a 600f hornet.
yeh mate i really love my vtr, could not of asked for a better first bike, it has given me no problems at all and will be missed once i decide to upgrade to the hornet, mine is the gloss blue 04 model with 14,000 on the clock and is pretty much immaculate as your one looks to be, i have a roo pipe on mine and it sounds great, what a difference a good pipe can make hey.
have you got your new bike yet and what are you going to get?
Great bikes to have from all the reviews for learners and even experienced riders, but the price is just too expensive for a learner who's most likely gonna drop it.
I was thinking of getting one, wanting so badly, but the price for a decent one is ridiculous. And "when" i drop it, thats gonna hurt me pocket and mind pretty hard.
I think im gonna fall for a bomb, at the price of $2000 - $3k max. .. Rego, insurance, helmet and riding gear is gonna add up for a poor bloke like me.
@2ndchanceinlife The truth is motorcycles aren't cheap. But some are inexpensive. You're gonna have to pay at least $3500 I believe for something that is going to serve you well during your learning experience. I NEVER DROPPED THIS BIKE! So don't worry about that. Believe it or not, riding a pushbike around the city for 10 years beforehand helped with handling my VTR250.

@xShootzx I did the swap at the shop where I bought it so it didn't cost me anything.
I sold it for ... just over $4000 I think. The 600f hornet looks like a great ride.
Do you enjoy riding your VTR250? I love the sound of the little beast!

@TheSVDCapo It amazes me that a little 250cc engine can make such a booming sound! Thanks for your comment.

@BradPham
Thats great to hear that you have not dropped that bike Brad.
If I can ride like you, would be so good. I just completed the Stay Upright Course today, and Im starting to study for me L's computer test.
I hope I wont drop my first bike. Safety first....
However I wish you a safe riding journey.
Thanks. I gotta start saving up money, pretty hard for me.
Cheers.

@2ndchanceinlife You know, saving for my first bike was very difficult for me too. Good luck, have confidence, and have fun.
