I'm kinda pissed at RP and his handlers too... Maybe, as someone suggested, he's hoping McCain will self-destruct.

On the other hand, I'm real pleased to see that not all Americans are fat, lazy bastards who prefer "security" to freedom.

Also consider that he is directly attacking the so-called "shadow" government, here and abroad. We don't know how much pressure may be on him. I'd hate to see him and/or his family hurt.

I hope that Paul is looking at the big picture. He should realize he'll never win as a 3rd party candidate or an independent.  The media, state election officials, etc would never allow that. His best chance is in 2012 to run for the Rep nom. again after we have 4 more terrible years under whomever is the President. that gives all of us plenty of time to get the message of liberty to everyone

Paul defiantly does realize this I can promise you. If Paul runs in 2012 it will only be as a Republican. As much as I like Ventura, Paul and Ventura supporters need to stop saying they need to run together because Jesse has made it crystal clear he will never run on either party. And Paul would never ever win in a 3rd party because you have have to have Ross Perot type money to jump through all the hoops required for ballot access and getting into the debates.

I WROTE THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY (about this) ABOUT 6 weeks ago (with NO EMAIL RESPONSE). VENTURA said he would run with 50 state ballot access; which Libertarians have.

The corporate driven media won't allow a Ron Paul to get national notice; however, when I heard Ventura, A LIGHT CAME ON IN MY HEAD.

SOMEONE WITH CELEBRITY STATUS would force the media to respond; heroic military service; charisma/youth acceptable.

Sorry, dude, have to give this a low rating. Both Ron Paul and Jessee Ventura are great, but thinking they will be running mates just isn't realistic. And besides, Ventura is no dummy, but Ron Paul should be first because he has the uncommonly good judgment, track record of integrity, and while Ventura has honor, Ron Paul really understands the moral and economic underpinnings of liberty.

I will never support ron paul in the way i did when we first began. he allowed his campaign to be run completely into the ground, never to raise again. if he was so bankable, then why did we give him major bank only to watch him not spend a dime to get his name out there. he obviously doesn't want to be president, hence the reason why i thought up the idea jesse ventura for ron paul.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I understand. Politics can be a very discouraging game. I'm not sure that you're right about Ron Paul not trying to get his name out there. I think he ran to win. But it seems to me that the big media players made it an unlevel field, tilted against him, and others on both sides and in favor of Obama, Hillary, McCain, Romney and Huckabee, when he was still in the race.

I know it sounds crazy, but, nothing that's happening makes sense in consideration of all of the other factors. This is a very possible dynamic. We're in a place timewise where such is doable and if we realize that we've been addressing illusion for a long time, it reverses the odds. I hope this won't seem harsh but... Dr. Paul earned every ounce of our effort and his staying on point for 30 years is what attracted the millions of supporters. Jesse is great, and like I said, I love the idea but the conservative element behind Ron Paul is what brought the momentum.
