  • 2 thumbs up for me! Do you want me to make backing track for you of this song?

  • @denniseclipse - We made a great backing rack for this song in Nashville. Very professional. I haven't posted playing with it yet but may in the future. Thanks for the offer though. I went to your link and you have an awesome site.

    Gary

  • im diggin it dude, been listening to this song all week and ur playing does it justice!

  • Very cool and brave to take on a solo like that unsupported. I enjoyed it.

  • felicitaciones al joven saxofonista, mas empeño,esta en el camino.

  • I love your playing

  • what mouthpiece was that? I play tenor, but I'm looking for a new mouthpiece

  • wow congrats, if you learned this by yourself, which I am doing now, on tenor, it's hard work especially the fast vibrato parts

  • Good work! Actually: I have a musicalinstrument which I´ve builded by myself, it´s a kind of a clarinet and a saxophone made by a plastic pipe with a nozzle from a clarinet. You can take a look on my youtubeside: ZEG8704 if you´re intresting. Just search on "My 1:st invention" ;-)

  • You hit that high altissimo D at 2:02! Go head brotha!

  • Sorry, but that was a high D. Altissimo D is practically impossible(Only very few people can do it) BTW Good job guy :D

  • It was altissimo D. Every sax has a different way of hitting altissimo notes...just have to figure out what works for you and your setup. Really not hard to hit on this internet cheap special I paid $200.00 for...LOL!!

  • HAHA! I know it was altissimo D....

But you know that cheap Chinese horn can't hide your CHOPS... I hear your technique... KUDOS!

  • very nicely done... Jay Beckenstein, I'm sure would be proud... KUDOS!

  • I can't hold a candle to Jay. He is a consummate artist, innovator, a gentleman, and a good father. I only play his music because I enjoy it so much and it's mentally soothing and therapeutic. Thanks JAY BECKENSTEIN !!!

  • BRAVO xD

  • great job i wish i could play like that but im still learning in school and im only in grade 7

  • NICE! Awesome job...

  • nice High C at the end, i never could hit that... but then again i was only a freshmen in highschool

  • great job.the notes are uncunningly the same as the original. only sometimes the tempo goes faster than the original and also some notes lack vibrato like in the original.

  • liked it !

  • Great sound!

What's your equipment? Sax, mouthpiece, reed?

  • great, spyro gyra fans in lima Perú

  • Great chops man.

  • Great job! Wish there was a video on You Tube for this song, preferably a studio vrsion instead of live.

  • Wow ! I'm a Spyro fan from their debut, and you do honor to Jay Beckenstein. Almost didn't notice the errors. Very good job. I would like to perform like you !

    Bravo, vous êtes excellent !

    Stingraylll

  • You rule! Love the spyro.

  • Morning Dance is next....I'm working on it. I also had the track recorded for Catching The Sun in Nashville, without the sax part.

  • Nice job! What is your "setup"?

  • sweet! Love the Jazz vibe!

  • Thanks Jazzy....Actually, if you listen to Spyro's original recording, this is exactly the same except for the ending which I modified a bit instead of fading out. You can get this sheet music as well, but you need to listen to the original recording to pick up all the nuances. I made 3 slight errors in the song, but not bad for one take. Thanks again.

  • Yeah it sounded just like it! I like Morning Dance from Spyra Gyra, that's one of my favorites.

  • Thought you might like this.
