@BRODIEHELLYER Well, I only had a cheaper camera at the time, and wanted kind of a grimy "Blair Witch Project" look, and this was only a first project, so I plan to do better in the future. All in all, for what it is, I was happy with it, although there were some things I wanted to do differently, but what can you do?
I agree, at least for this movie. I wanted a guerrilla feel to it, you know...stupid kids out in the woods looking to get laid only to come across Jason after he's slaughtered the girls. I'm looking to do a Nightmare on Elm Street homage soon, but actually make it more like a regular film...we'll see how that turns out.
@SkemeKOS Yea im on the same level with the whole liking the crappy camera.. I wouldn't say HD fully ruins my experience, i do feel it takes away though..all my actual Friday the 13th movies are on Vhs except the ones that were not released on Vhs..I have backups also so im ready for the future.I actually Have a VCR that I use just for my large bomb ass horror movie collection.I don't know what it is thats so cool about that slightly fuzzier grittier feel..but yea I know exactly what you mean..
Funny thing...the one in black, Steven Hankins, was supposed to run AWAY from me during his death scene instead of landing at my feet. It was funny in retrospect, but I wanted it to be suspenseful. Had to keep it that way...we were losing daylight. There are plenty of other parts that are different from the script, but they're still funny in the end.
a better camera would do

@Gergilicious1986
yeah, the camera is fine.
i personally think horror movies look better when shot with "crappy" cameras.
hd cameras ruin the experience if anything if you ask me.

@Nardz024
Exactly, my friend!!! Thats exactly how I feel. I really like the grainy effect of vhs for horror movies.
