  • Sick sick people...

  • @seamstobe so true, i wish more people had your outlook

  • There is a reason why they are in Haiti, not because they love those black, uneducated, former slaves. They're there because Haiti has oil, uranium and more natural resources that they want to rip off. All this debt forgiving to Haiti is a fraction of what they will get out of this ungenuine gesture. No Haitians know excavation is taking place in Haiti. Now I see why they did not want Aristide in Haiti... Thieves, kidnapers, God will curse y'all. Now what can Michel Martelly do about this

  • Bull shit video! There is a reason why they are in Haiti, not because they love those black, uneducated, former slaves. They're there because Haiti has oil that they want to rip off. Now I see why they did not want Aristide in Haiti...

  • @marahlia why are they uneducated?

  • @Jrobinson2009 Because of the evilness of the so-called super powers who want to suck the blood our of small nations and want to keep them enslaved mentally

  • @marahlia ok i agree but the Ayaitian people are not just flat out uneducated to where they don't know nothing bout anything.

  • Bull shit video! There is a reason why they are in Haiti, not because they love those black, uneducated, former slaves. They're there because Haiti has oil that they want to rip off.

  • God bless Hatie, many americans have given even while we have been going through a recession here, and we have given to help the hatian people.

  • AMEN? WE MUST UNITE? WE HAVE A BIGGER FIGHT?

  • its only a matter of time before America renders us week and takes over. Unless someone sees thrue there scheems these debates over the internet are useless.

  • Now, Ms Laurent, we know that there is oil, bauxite, gold, uranium and other minerals in Haiti. We know that those resources can make Haiti a rich country. We know that Haiti is under "peaceful" occupation via the UN. We know that Preval's gov is a puppet gov. We know that we are dealing with world powers with big guns stronger than a small Haiti. What can we do to ensure that the Haitian people benefit from the resources and is there a win-win approach with the foreign companies?

  • The odd thing is that these rapacious bastards are still not only alive but thriving.

Are we Humans really that cowardly? Dumb?

  • well it really sucks seems like if they cant fight it..they seem like such nice folks. YOu know.. they probably be better off dead. seriously nobody should have to live in such struggles and filth. i mean seriously. i would rather drink the dammm coolaide. these people have more money then god. how could they, we even begin to fight

  • not hundreds of millions, its BILLIONS that went missing... some ppl got rich and that's all that matters.... SHEEPLE must shut up and obey!!!!

  • H.A.A.R.P.

  • Haiti has gold. In the early 16th century, after being "discovered", when Haiti was called Hispaniola, gold mining began to place. The Arawaks (Indians that were native to The Bahamas and other islands) were taken to Haiti to work in the mines. They all died far too quickly as a result, along with diseases they contracted. Then came the slave trade, providing Africans for mining in Haiti. They could work harder and live longer. The U.S. is not there to help anyone but themselves!

  • @matuncks So Haiti is full of gold ahhh. Why aren't the people of Haiti taking advantage of it. This video is a total lie. The US is not the only one in Haiti, and the countries that have people there are helping out. Total lie.

  • @dannydarias1 It is for the same reason why Africa, India, South America and other resource rich countries, with brown and black people live and are prevented from taking advantage of these resources. It is called suppression! History books explain why native Indians and black americans were not privy to the US gold and oil rush eras But don't take my word for it, try reading and thinking for yourself. Otherwise, it would be like arguing with an unarmed person. BTW, I am also half Haitian.

  • @matuncks American, French, Haitian companies look for investments in properties, stocks, commodities, etc, to make a profit. If allowed by the local governments, they will whatever it takes to make the maximum profit. Do you suggest that they overpay for their investment just to be nice. It's the way the world works. You can mine gold with little resources, don't you think that Haitians would have dug it up by now?

  • @dannydarias1 Haitians do not have the technology nor the money to mine. However, if I love my country not just my pocket and I know we need infrastructure, roads, electricity, water...and I kow my people are literally eating dirt, I will do my best to get a contract that will benefity my people. This is the problem we have with the Haitian government, they are puppets being paid under the table to look the other way. Haiti should not be poor! This is a crime! And, I blame it all on the HG.

  • @dannydarias1 You are a total idiot...In some of the "poorest" countries their are some of the wealthiest in terms of natural resources these countries are generally under either Occupation or Euro-American destabilizing forces which include dictatorships or Paramilitary rule. You are a total idiot if you do not know these things.

  • They have Destroyed the world in the last 400-500 years. Africa was as green as sout america 200 years ago. Look at it now. Every where they go they destroy everything. They Throuly are Reptaliens. And people are Sleep....!!?

  • The mining sector played a minor role in Haiti's economy. Mining was limited to clays and limestone for cement manufacture (a leading industry in 2002), marble, marine salt, and sand and gravel. Asphalt and lime also may have been produced. The marble industry was being developed for export possibilities.

  • All subsoil rights belonged to the state; private ownership of mining companies was permitted, and mineral exploration has generally been conducted by foreign enterprises. Private gold mining was permitted, but the metal had to be sold to the National Bank. Production of bauxite ceased with the 1985 closing of the Reynolds mine; production peaked at 613,000 tons in 1979, and exports were worth $14.9 million in 1982. Copper mining was suspended in 1971, because it became unprofitable.

  • The Canadian company St. Genevieve Resources estimated that two small gold mines near Cap-Haïtien could yield at least $100 million over 10 years. The Canadian company KWG Resources, Inc. had two properties with gold and copper resources—Grand Bois and Morne Bossa.

  • Animals...

  • go & google HAARP fellas .....u'll be astonished ....

  • Planned depopulation and exploitaion of natural resources is so sick. Haitians are the sweetest people on earth, I have known a few. It is the innocents who are being anialated in this world. Same for the people of New Orleans. Pure Evil needs to be overcome by Pure Love.

  • occupation? LOl. But if Outside nations had not been pumping in billions of dollars before and after the haitian quake....all haitians would have starved. Nice of you to call feeding your sorry butt a occupation.

  • This woman is clueless. Haiti desparately needs foreign investiments as they don't export anything and import everything. The nation has over 50% unemployment and clueless people like her are talking about mines that produce very little. If there was so much profits within these mines why have we not heard of the great migration to look for work in the mines.

  • she is only claiming that the companies are coming in under the umbrella of occupation and are thus circumventing the democratic processes which require them to operate in the peoples' best interest. The Haitian people have been getting raped by foreign interests for decades and it is high time somebody puts an end to it.

  • Claiming a company invests under the "umbrella of occupation" is ridiculous. Companies invest money and that money they don't obtain from thin air. Investments create badly needed jobs. Haitians are NOT getting raped by foreign interest they are getting raped by ignorant, thieving politicians and fools like you.

  • @ jpblan11 So you claim that "companies invest money, and that money they don't obtain from thin air" What do you call the Fed Res easy cash to big banks? Or mountains of tax free drug money laundered through those banks every year? Ivestments do not always create jobs, some companies bring their own army of workers. Or mechanize the operation. Decimation of farming in Haiti by USAID shifted agro from grain production and drove people into impoverished shanty towns. Etc... Stop sipin the koolaid

  • @cyclicresonance Show me proof of army of workers entering Haiti working. The Dominican Republic is overrun with cheap Haitian labor entering there country. The facts of Haitian immigrating out of Haiti does not correlate with your assertion.

  • @jpblan11 nobody needs to see the "army of workers entering Haiti" to realize something is amiss when the locals, as you claim are "immigrating out of Haiti...to overrun the Dominican Republic with cheap Haitian labor." This is much like the Mexi-U.S. border. NAFTA and GAT only further destabilized Mexico and drove them into America seeking work...and escape from a corrupt government which relegates them to squalor and poverty stricken lives in one of the riches countries on Earth.

  • @jpblan11 Without foreign influence the Mexican government could not keep up this behavior...and neither could the Haitian Government...Wake up Cletus, your underwear are wrapped around your neck! I see you been eating chocolate again, at least I hope so.

  • @jpblan11 The thieving politicians are installed by the West. The minority politicians who are elected by the people are overthrown by School of the America's trained thugs. Again, stop spewing nonsense and go do your research.

  • Spoken like a true moron, I guess your father was Haitian.

  • 1980s n 1990s saw US policy toward Haiti reorganize to better serve interests of foreign capital (and they always do right?..NOT) US producers profit from increased exports to Haite while Haitians lose. Overthrow of Jean Bertrand Aristade by US twice 1991 n 2004 because he was supported by the poor. That country has now been robbed of its sovereignty again after over 200 years of struggle. Then US occupation from 1915-34. FDR wrote their constitution and sold them out. You r severely misinformed

  • that's funny, fellow moron! i suppose it does sound strange. no i got my info from an afro-american male friend who has relatives in haiti . his wife is haitian he is there now taking 2 full suitcases and money. he spoke w/ relatives there daily since earthquake and they confirmed the news reports about men w/ machetes but,it is much worse than we're hearing. he said Haiti needed a military takeover. However terrible, i don't make any apologies as was told this by trustworthy source.

  • you are right but since that doesnt sit well with people's p-c assumptions, they pretend to disagree.. but in reality they all agree; they think if they pretend hard enough and give isolated contrary examples and overlook the majority of actions, they can avoid the miserable reality that Haiti is not going to be stable, profitable or productive.. it hasn't for 500 years and isnt going to now. Haitians (w/ avg IQ of 80) would be best off completely agricultural and with far less people.

  • thanks, midnightwanderer. i wouldn't have said all those things, but, a friend who spends 3 mos a yr in haiti informed me of how it REALLY is..his wife is haitian & he has no reason to lie. people w/o having facts only know pc & don't want the harsh truths thrown out in their face.

  • @jpblan11 No, you're the one who is clueless and highly ignorant. Did you even bother to HEAR what she had to say about the gold mining in Haiti? What Haiti did export was banned by neoliberal policies imposed by the US / WTO / IMF. Foreign investment my ass. Just google Mineral mining in Haiti.

    Free your damn mind.

  • @jpblan11

    It's only benefiting the wealth.

  • read "shock doctrine" book by naomi klein. expose on disaster capitalism. mind and eye opening. you'll begin to see it happening everywhere!

  • if they pay them handsomely, who cares. oh yeah... the economy is about to collapse. they're trading their gold for our paper. whoops. sorry haiti

  • Wow! Some of the comments are coming from aspartame flouride poisoned fools. God speed. Not even an open-mind. Like there is such a think as a 'Neo-con' or a Liberal. Fools. Go away!

  • @JAGWAH66 good comment,

  • This b*tch is incoherent; she's spewing jibberish.

  • A typical radical - left wing American hater. Don't waste your time - unsubscribe. This is the third idiotic video from this youtuber in a row.

  • Just another example of capitalism as work: corporations overthrowing governments to advance their global expansion via politics. They become more bold by the election. America is next.

  • Socialist clap-trap: if we help the Haitians it's imperialism and occupation; if we don't its apathy. The day Third World people take account for their destiny, they'll be on their way to bettering their lives.

This is a complete waste of time.

  • Right on! Everyone knows that laziness causes earthquakes.

  • @MarcusCMarcellus

Shut the fuck up, you don't even know what you are talking about!

  • Your eloquence and argumentation speak for themselves. Bravo!

  • @MarcusCMarcellus

    You are welcome asshole!

  • @MarcusCMarcellus LOL! Why do you think the so-called third world exist? They're rape victims and the so-called first world are the rapists. You obviously don't know the history of Haiti and the crimes committed against her by the US / France / Canada / UN / IMF / World Bank. Haiti would not be a 'third world,' if it wasn't for these crimes. Educate yourself. America doesn't help anybody, not even her own people.

  • She also said at the onset that the US & Canada are not in for humanitarian aide. She went on to say that the countries are only in for exploitation.

She also said that it was only Neo-Cons doing this. Clinton & Obama are more Neo-Liberals... same result BTW.

When critics use such unbalanced & sever language... makes you wonder what their agenda is. I'm not trying to demean her work but, demonizing without knowing is not how to help.

She is paid from her charity to do this. Not knocking, jus

  • cont'd

  • @drchiodo it's becoming very well known around the world that Canadians are gaining the same popularity for their mining practices as US soldiers are for their peacekeeping and diplomacy.

  • Thanks, Yes, I'm sure this happens but, how else are jobs to be created if nobody develops the land? Haiti has v.high unemployment, now disaster stricken, high crime/drug cartel/gang & bribe problems. Should we just leave them to suffer? US/Canada has given more in aid then any other. I fail to see how providing jobs isn't welcome either. Or do think countries should just give to corrupt govs that take bribes for ignoring these problems?

Look, it's all imperfect, but doing nothing = same probs.

  • They're still taking the bribes. The UN building will be the first to be rebuilt. Haiti was given $10 m/yr from the US. Do you think $100 m will make a difference? The purpose being served here is to make a new platform into Central/South America. Corruption is everywhere. Giving them money and not food/water is not going to help. It's a clusterbomb and a cover for something else. There are now 40k UN soldiers in Haiti. For what? For advancement of forward positions; that's what it is for.

  • we could have fair deals. It's not like it must be bribes for no development vs bribes for lots of development. We can enact a 3rd option.

  • respectfully, you should read up on how different classes of movements are labelled. That's not to say there isn't such thing as the 'RepubliCrats'. Was that your point?

  • I think they're all onto this game and hoping we'll lose ourselves in defining labels. I think it would be more helpful to identify the most serious corruption, torture, bribery, fraud, and should it be one particular group of people does all of them, don't "label" them, name then, name after name after name, date and title/involvement/company etc. One by one. Forget the label. Make the fight serious.

  • My point is not to get so lost in classes of labels that you don't know what the real problems are. The 'other side' would be very happy to see people lost in redefining what they think the problems should be named without keeping up with the actual changes now and what is very likely.

  • oh no, some business coming to one of the poorest nations in the world and they are paying them off with food and aid. That's terrible

  • Ah come on...why do you think "developing countries" worldwide are so poor? The elite rich have been raping natural resources and have dumbed down these cultures for centuries.

    this is NOT acceptable.

Go to Aceh in Indonesia where that Tsunami hit. ALL that $ that apparently went there...DID NOT! I have been to Indonesia..I have friends living there...WHERE does hundreds of millions of dollars go? Answer please?

  • clinton and bush? just send your cash!

  • @medini2

yeah rebuiliding it with all that money they made on television, cell phones, etc should have been enough to send some AMERICANS over there who could help rebuild the entire city along with some Mexicans. the Mexicans are MASTER CRAFTERS! They could totally have rebult Haiti in a short period of time. Also Americans could have done work over there too setting up shops, stores, laundry facilities, police officer, medical, etc. they need a new city. Make it pretty so we will visit

  • @stangeriam Although I think Lyndon Laroush is a nut, he does make an interesting case for the difference between the English System of imperialism and Free Trade, and the American System (now long gone) which used protective tariffs to allow a country to development. One system created slaves, the other, free men.

    Look who is winning!

  • @stangeriam You are right, Hawaii was one of those territories that the U.S invaded and stold all its natural resources, now most natives there are homeless or live in poverty

  • Seano71

Yeah, were bringing business to Africa, and Iraq as well. Why not plunder Haiti's resources too? We can pay them in food, and aid.

  • If someone came to your property / nation and took something that is used as money out of the ground and just barely gave you enough to eat, wouldn't you be ripped off? It will make the others RICH. Super rich.

You can pay any slave in food because a starving slave doesn't work very hard. Think about it.
