I think there’s a lot to be said about unboxing videos. For me it’s a way in which one can savour the moment, much like a connoisseur would with a full-bodied Merlot or a fine Cuban. Where the package has clearly already been opened, you can understand if it were an attempt to relive and document those rare and short-lived moments that as adults, reminds us what it means to be 10 years old again.

the trigger is springy so that when youre trying to take a shot you wont shake the camera to get a blurry image

The 5d mk ii has a springy button too. But after using it for a bit, I definitely like it better than the buttons from other cameras. :)

That was an awesome unboxing video. Like you said, most UBVs are just that, "Here's the manual." etc... I've been dying for mine to come in and it'll be here tomorrow afternoon (UPS Tracking) WITH VERTICAL GRIP...!! Super amped about it...!! No UBV from me though. I'm going to rip it open and start using it...!!

The mushy shutter release was one of the first tactile things I noticed on mine as well. I don't care much for it at all. Nor do I see it as an improvement. My guess is it was to prevent the man-handlers from wrecking it. I would rather feel a solid tactile feedback on the actuation... Sometimes I question if I'm pushing it hard enough.

Did you find out what's wrong with trigger button? I have tried on 7d today in one of BestBuys stores, and trigger was weird. It didn't have bump feeling when you push it half way.

Does 7d have this weird trigger on all 7d slr?

There's nothing wrong with it because it's an improvement. I like it much better after using it for a bit.

Well, unboxing vids are made to show us what's exactly in the box. That's why most guys show us exactly what's in the box.. Otherwise, it would be a 10 second video of a dude opening the box and that's it.. Impressions are for the explation on the cameras, not for the content of the box. I give your vid 5 stars for that part but, personally, I wished you didn't stfu guys who make good unboxing vids. I also, wished you didn't throw thing around like that. Thanks man.
