Sadly for the Liz character, everyone supporting Lucky and few listening or supporting the "abused" spouse is fairly typical of real life. Everyone needs a Jason in their life urging them to "save themselves".
It's a mixed bag, though. Any girl that has ever loved Jason has ended the relationship distraught and in tears. Jason maybe intoxicating to love but the hangover is a killer. He's kind of like a flame drawing moths. They seem to always reconcile later and become friends, but geez. I don't think Jason is any better for any woman on the soap then the other guys. The biggest problem is that Guza clearly hates strong women. They are usually written shrewd manipulative whiny and/or weak.
god why is it that anytime liz starts being and showing who she really is EVERYONE, except jason, starts beating her on the head to stop her... jason is always giving and listening and doing for liz not beating her up like everyone else
Why was it that Audrey always wanted Elizabeth to act like nothing happened when there were major problems.. She did the same thing when Elizabeth was raped, she didn't want her to say anything because of appearences.
@crisvanfan you need to rewatch.....where audrey wanted to act like he was hardly a big deal.......and to just drink tea...and take a nap and not mention it...was her advice to liz.
i <3 liz back then, idk what the writers did to her character, but it aignt good. i still <3 her though :)
