This is funny but when I was a tour guide, it was awkward when people asked if our students really were overachievers obsessed with grades and things that perpetuate that stereotype are a bummer. Having said that, our school definitely has TWAMPS and I guess this is a good summary of what they say.

I go to William and Mary and I have to say that the TWAMP stereotype is bullshit. Students here are no more nerdy than anywhere else. Our girls are good looking, the people are decent, and yes, we study hard. If you want to see real nerds go to a local community college, where the kids fail at academics but make up for it by spouting memes and Lord of the Rings references. BUT THE WILLIAM AND MARY STUDENTS WHO CALL THEMSELVES TWAMPS ARE THE ONES WHO FAIL AT LIFE THE MOST.
