It's awesome in the snow. Four wheel drive is pointless with this kind of traction. I live in Minnesota and have a 60 mile commute to work.

The town and country actually has a higher rating and is better than the grand caravan. Thats why we got the town and country.

its actually the same van, different badging....there is no difference in safety ratings. look it up. chrysler town & country = dodge grand caravan. just like ford crown victoria = mercury grand marquis, etc.

Not very much, the passenger airbag deployed, so it doenst have intelligent airbags.

its actually just a weight sensor in the seat, nothing "intelligent" about it, and its just another thing that can go wrong that can alter air bag performance in my opinion. what if that deployed air bag prevented shardes of glass, among other things, from being projected at your head, regaurdless of a passenger in the seat or not :-)

Our 2009 has 11,500 miles so far, no defects. No new car we ever had made it this far with out a repair, including my Toyota.

My 2000 Dodge Grand Cravan is the best thing.

In 2007 was the frist time something messsed up under the hood, the other problems was just 2 dead batterys. That was fixed and haven't had anneything else wrong with it.

@ande947 actually the kia and hyundai minivan is the safest the got all 5 stars in all crash test rating by iihs and EuroNCAP and even 2006 kia and hyundai mini vans did better then this one and alot of other minivan from 2008

Chevy Uplander did better than this minivan in the FRONTAL IMPACT CRASH TEST but it doesnt look like it because chevy actually knows how to put crumple zones on their car and as far as side impact this car beats GM minivans hand down but only because this car has the side curtain and i personally dont like honda odyssey but honda did do better than GM and CHRYSLER/DODGE

There are no recalls for the Journey. Every car from the 1990s and before were unsafe no matter how much the automaker did to make it safe. With the exception of the Mercedes and BMW and some other automakers.
