This really a hoot!! Love the Universal films. Great clips-hysterical Partridge tune- A very clever, well done video!! Thanks so much for posting this!!
The fact that the first word that you could think of to call me is a dolt truly means that I do not even have to say a word back to you. Thanks for that lol.
I took the time to remaster every film here in DUO-TONE Colorization, also remastering the audio tracks from Mono to stereo imagery enhancement and are now Dolby Digital stereo 2.0. I have all these in raw mpeg2 format on an external hard drive. The Duo-tone color really Improves the visual and brings them to life as never before. Just a cool fun project i wanted to experiment with for myself.
Excellant video. Always loved the old Universal Horror Movies. I believe I heard the song in the 60's. Could someone please tell me who did this song?
nice video, but, um, what was with psycho? i mean i can understand the guy below me thinking jeckyll and hyde was universal (which it isnt) but psycho?
How can your DVD of "Psycho" possibly be on Warner Home Video? Originally produced by Hitchcock's tv production company, filmed @ Universal and released by Paramount Pictues (upon original release). Ownership of the film was then turned over to MCA-Universal in 1968 once the Paramount deal had ended. It is available exclusively through Universal.:)
oh, right, i thought that guy was talking about dr jekyll and mr hyde, sorry. ok, psycho is universal, but i still wouldnt count it as part of the 'universal monster family'
I must concur with you that "Psycho" is certainly not a part of the Universal Monster Family (Dracula,Frankenstein,The Mummy,The Invisible Man,The Wolf Man,Creature From The Black Lagoon)...but one has to admit that Hammerman did a loving and top of the line tribute here in his handsomely-produced presentation.
I don't know where this song originates, but I agree with everyone else that it works very well.
For some reason oldies music from the 50's and 60's always work extremely well with Universal Monster footage of the 30's and 40's. Every time I hear 'Beach Baby' by First Class I can't help thinking of the Monster and his Bride.
