I would at least get a camera that runs on Mini SD DV tapes.

If you have the money and can afford it; I would tell you to get a camera that runs on Mini HD DV tapes.

There are lots of choices out there it just all depends on your budget and what you plan on using it for?

I DO NOT recommend HDD... which is a hard drive recording type camera. You will have a lot of trouble trying to edit footage from a HDD camera.

No, the mini sd dv tapes are tv quality. They are about 3 inches long, 2 inches wide, and maybe a 1/4 of an inch thick.

This piece of footage and the steve irwins stingray video where both filmed in mini sd dv.

Final Cut Pro is what I use and it was 1200 dollars and kind of complicated. I started out using Las Vegas Studio which is a PC based program. Las Vegas Studio runs around 100 dollars and even supports HD footage. It is a very good beginner program....

I have 3 really big projects I'm working on. They will take me two or three months to finish. After that, I will be working on making a Camo4x4s DVD. Just a video with the highlights of my videography career like the hunting trips and some of the amazing footage I have captured. Kind of like the beaver and wildlife related stuff.

It will also have the story of how I became a youtube partner and etc. etc.

It will be a very interesting DVD to say the least...

This was funny to me too. I filmed it over a year ago in Standard definition. I have been going through old footage and properly labeling my tapes and couldn't help but to post this.
