Funny how we Americans don't get many news stories like this. Stuff about how we're slowly killing ourselves with our pollution, this nonbiodegradable waste we produce for the sake of our own greedy, stupid comfort. No, watching Britney Spears step out a car with no knickers on is way more important. Cheers!
Back in 1981 when I was on Midway Island I did not see any plastic waste. I did however find a glass fishing float that used to be on a Japanese fishing net that washed ashore
Yes, great piece even if it is a bummer. I wish people would just start with using the garbage bins for starters. No more plastic bags for me after this.
Whole Foods Market is going to initiate people to bring their own bags for groceries starting this Earth Day in 2008. It takes more than 100 years for plastic to decompose. Let's all try to REUSE & RECYCLE!
