Dis anyone know the name of the song near the end of the Coma sketch, the deep darktune, its in my head and i would really like to find out what it is.
Sometimes during filming, the cast would mime to the original recordings.Creates a sense of unease. Peter Baynham wrote a lot of the real WTF!? stuff too....
The gentleman ring so true as a doctor- i wonder if he trained as one? it makes one think how it's possible to slip into proffesions without all the required qualifications if possesed with the right tone of voice. A chilling thought.
i dont think this has anything to do with chris morris's insecuritys or personal neuroses. its aim is to unsettle and provoke its viewers it also attacks the powers that be. shows contempt for celebrity and iterviews. it adresses taboos i.e child abuse aids and homo eroticism and morris disgust for censorship. i'm sorry you find this surreal to me it is very clear and meanigful.
i feel this show is so important and it has such a small audience, they play this at 2am or something stupid while football and trashy celebrity programs warp the masses. its all globilization advertising money poison. and a show like this which reveals so many problems and unexplored truths but it makes no money its dangerouse people may realize things. half of you idiots who post comments haven't a clue what its really about
I think people who admire Morris's work realize he doesn't just come up with ideas overnight thinking 'ooh that'd weird people out, or yes, this'll cause controversey' We do know the differnce between him & harry enfield!
well if you do then good for you. i'm not separating myself from the rest of humanity. the ones who understand will, the ones who don't wont. for example radiohead write and produce some excellent music but they are very popular and it is frustrating because you feel the people that Radiohead dispise are the people who buy their albums in general.
it's a highly interesting point but a black hole debate also! I love radiohead & make a choice not to concentrate on what they personally hold true. Maybe it's easier to do that with music than the spoken word, but maybe it means i've got my head up my arse!
i am not a genius. and never claimed to be. the music i listen to and the programs i watch do not make me who i am. all i can say is what i think. and act according to my beliefs. if i am an idiot for being anti globilisation and advertising then what does that make you?
please hit me with your obvious superior intellect and originality.
you are an idiot for somehow associating liking a surreal comedy sketch show clearly derived more from chris morris's own set of personal neuroses and insecurity with some vague, naive opposition to concepts of "globalization" and advertising. how in the world does this show have any meaningful connection with advertising?
i was talking about the time this show gets broadcasted. they put crap on the T.V during peak hours all of which is selling something.
this goes on in the early hours of the morning when most people are in bed. The audience it reaches is pretty small. it would be nice if something like this would be able to reach a wider audience. view count 3,878 go look at the view count for a paris hilton interview i'm sure it will be a lot higher
Sorry to say this but you're exactly the kind of person Chris Morris is attacking with this. Globilization advertising money poison?
Yeah, you're really over thinking this. Like everything Chris Morris does, Jam is satire. It's satirical of humanity as a whole, it doesn't have some deep life changing message... Christ, Nathan Barley was written by Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker about people like you. Idiots who blindly idolise people without knowing a single thing of what that person is about!
I don't like being called an Idiot or someone who blindly idolieses people without knowing anything about them. I don't like your tone as a whole as i feel it is not constructive, just as my first Comment was not. Jam i find very funny and there is plenty of room for interpretation if you feel it is a satirical of humanity with no deeper meaning then thats how you interpreted it. p.s i was talking about football in relation to money and advertising,
I feel that if a satire doesn't move you to think deeply about life then the satirist has failed. If you aren't getting a message out of satire then I think you are the person who doesn't get it.
