Why does everyone thing the Z06 is going to crash at a turn? This car holds records in Le Mans and a stock C6 Z06 will beat almost any car 200,000$ more around the Nurburgring. Trust me, I own a Z06 and it handles great.. I've beaten a GT3RS around a track almost effortlessly, smoked a 599 GTB F1 at a track and that car has 600+hp. @3O2MuStAnG No. Every time I've seen a stock Z06 (dozens) dyno'd I see 430rwhp or so. The Tremec T-56 has a power loss of about 16% in it's 1:1 gear (4th). 505 *.16 = 80.5, 505-80.5 = ~424.
Bottom line on Corvettes (Z06, ZR1 etc.) UNLESS you are a pro-driver you will not always get perfect shifts or 1/4 mile times etc..... Not everybody who buys a Corvette will get those times... Corvettes = Great cars, but the SLR isn't a shitty car!

After that, you know what speed is. My bike does a little 10.8 on the 1/4, which of those cars can do that? When GM started to go bankurpt they only had a certain amount of money so instead of improving the body shell they decided to forcus on performance than anything else...

I dont understand why these guys want to shift as if they were running the 1/4 or 18th mile. even if you took a full second to shift each gear the faster car would still be obvious because it would catch up or pull away depending on the position. If they calmed down and focused more on shifting we souldnt see shit like this.
