You do know you could have killed him if you tried to compensate at all for bullet drop.... which for some reason there is a shit load of it.... like in a 250 yard shot, you have to aim straight up in the air for bullet drop to hit (obvious exaggeration, lol).

The aim is to suppress with accurate fire.

The operator has several enemies too close for comfort, and rapid fire is needed.

The semi-auto sniper was conceived because there was a need to fire more than one shot without working the action. Lives have been saved because the soldier could fire twice quickly, without having to work a bolt.
