Ok, this looks like it would work really well, but if it will work on my hair is the question. I have mixed hair (very curly) and it is very long (to the middle of my back when straight) Is this possible to do with very long curly hair?
This is a good idea, however; have you or would anyone watching this video try this technique using velcro or regular rollers? I think that holding the round brush after straightening adds more time to the already lengthy process of straightening.
wow this is the best tutorial i've seen, and it looks like it really does work! quick question- i have a LOT of volume to my hair. i mean boy, does it poof. i have heard a lot of people say that you should dry your hair upside down before straightening it, but honestly, i am trying to avoid the drying, because it is very tedious with such thick hair. do you think i can just let it air dry and then do this?
Yes. Let your hair air-dry - maybe by sleeping on it (the pressure will help flatten it out)- and then you can go through the above process. Hope that helps!
what's funny is that your are naturally way prettier then a lot of other gurus but they seem to try wayyyy harder to look good. im not saying you don't try, but they all look fake compared to you ahaha :)
@Olssonator I agree, the makeup gurus have looks that are too extreme for the everyday person. You just seem so "normal!" :] And normal is good, in a culture of attention starved Kim Kardashians.
@rajs113 Yes: use a soft molding wax as a root lifter (rub it into your palms, and then rub it onto the roots of your hair) and then use one of the Sexy Hair brand hairsprays to set ;) Also, using a teasing comb is always a plus.
LOL Oh my gosh, I love you and this video. You really have a presence on camera and you are definitely not an irritating style guru like many others I've seen and this video helps a whole lot. And you're the cutest horse I've seen, pssh.
@lorealnisha Depends on the product you use (use something to make your hair a little gritty...) and your hair-type. Ooh, and the weather/humidity. But I'd say that this technique is like Prozac for flat hair, for at least the whole day :)
This is a great way to cool the curl to hold style. Have you tried using the cool shot on a blow dryer to achieve the same results? Thanks for the tip Amanda.
@BEbeverlyhills Yes, that would most certainly work, as well! Of course, it's just one more tool to keep track of, but it would be quicker, providing your arms don't get too tired.
awesome, i have fine short hair, and whenever i go to the salon i leave with super flat hair PLASTERED to my head so thank you SO much for this video!
thats very impressive my hair is semi wavy more straight but its very long so its kinda harder 2 add volume nd i dnt like teasing cuz it makes alot of knots but this technique is so cool and easy it looks so simple thank you for making this video
I got a way too......if u take a shower at night....make a bun right on top of your head (dont go in front of your parents!!!!!) and keep it like that all night....in the morning..open your bun and straighten your hair and you will get volum just like hers....It worked for me when i tried it...=D
Hey Gals, sorry for late reply. Thank you for your comments, everyone, and to Darayaray, it should last all day, until you wash it again. As a side note, definitely try a root lifter, too. Pureology makes a great one :)
When it comes to sprays and such to add volume, I apply under it, closest to the roots, except afterward it feels like I cant touch it... if I brush over the top, it flattens... and also, it doesnt have that neat & straight thing.. its all tangled.....
heyyy thank you very much for this hint :) indeed it reminds a little bit to the usual styling by the hairdryer, but i guess there should be a difference to see altough... youre hair is looking beuatiful :) will try this soon!
OMG you soooo DONT look like a horse!!!! your really god looking actually! and it was a good video it really does make a difference using that brush... thankyou!
@neeshekhan when someone is referring to being a horseface is not a literal meaning, it's more of a comparison to having a long face, which she claims to have. But I agree, she is a pretty lady.
i cant never do my hair because its tooooo straight and soft i cant even get it to do wat u just did add volume...hope ur tip works because ive tried everything :(

Liz--If even this makes your hair too flat--try flat ironing ONLY the ends, so that you don't lose any volume anywhere else :p
