When I first started riding the International between Toronto and Chicago, they used VIA Rail LRCs purchased from Amtrak on alternate days. The other days, they used Horizons (ouch!). I understand Amtrak switched to Superliners because the Horizons didn't like the Canadian (or Michigan) winters. The Horizons were made in Montreal. Go figure!
