Either they CHANGED the PUSH/PULL or it was stated wrong...I just ordered one in the BLACK EM2 w/ Epi Active's and they say on the website that the PULL lets you BYPASS the Active Pickups where you dont have to use a battery...Which I Think Is AWESOME...in case battery dies OR you just dont want the ACTIVE TONE...

@tuck234 you would actually be very suprised with EMGs they are very versitile its just a matter of how you "touch" the guitar if you will. i have 2 guitars loaded with EMGs. my fernandes revolver had an EMG 81 at the bridge with the fernandes sustainer pickup at the neck and it has incredible articulation and is very clear and does not dirty up any sort of clean tone. plus i have a washburn wp80 les paul copy with the classic EMG 81-85 combo and it cleans up wonderfully!

@caressxofxsteel I know. I've seen the EMG's on the schecter hellraiser C1, and they were pretty awsome. I just don't like actives that much. Wiring and all is just too much for me. I really do like them though.

I heard they discontinued the original and are bringing it back this year with 4 controls instead of 2, but i haven't been able to find any info officially. What he takes 4 minutes to explain Most people can learn about each guitar in 15 seconds for each guitar by looking up specs. You have a point but I'd rather him spend a minute and a half talking and then spend the rest of the video playing with every tone that guitar will make so that I and other viewers can get a proper feel for the tone.

@Mrguitardude5 This was the original shape of the explorer i believe, guess they wanted to bring it back. The extra piece if wierd out of place but if you notice it runs up on the neck a fair bit. Dont know but this might contribute the the solidness.

Futura's look horrible, There's a good reason why it's like that though, it balances on a strap better. Most Epiphone Explorers balance terribly, I know mine does.

@Leviskardsen although with the Futura shape, you sacrifice fret access. i think i'd just rather get an Explorer and move the strap button, so i can get to the higher frets better. cause there's a damn heal on the Futura that blocks your thumb from advancing with the rest of your fingers when you try to reach the last 4 frets.
