The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting. It was written so that we could defend ourselves against tyranny in government. In the Heller case, the Supreme court ruled that the 2nd Amendment guarantees a fundamental individual right to have firearms without being connected to any service of the state or military organization, and that the 2nd Amendment is a fundamental part of the bill of rights, which guarantees citizen’s individual rights. It is the 2nd Amendment guarantees the 1st Amendment!

All law is made by people and therefore more or less arbitrary. Deal with it. Re: natural law: I think what they mean is the basic stuff that most ppl can agree on: it's not okay to do nasty shit to ppl you wouldn't want done to you. Golden Rule stuff and they don't sound too crazy about it until they try to apply it with weird teabagger logic to pubic policy. That's when it gets nuts.
