I don't think Linda Lingle is being stupid in this case. I'm not a Palin supporter, but if people really are seriously questioning her ability to be in office and raise children, that sounds pretty sexist to me.
Linda Lingle finds another way to make herself look even more stupid. The pathetic job she's done running Hawaii was a pretty good indicator, but coming out in defense of Palin?
Earlier today I was watching ANTM with a girl from Alaska that was overwhelmed by the big city and she said "We don't have that in Alaska, we don't have highways and we don't have... people! And at home no electricity and no running warm water"
I am an infant/toddler caregiver and I see people who have to work drop off their babies at 6am and pick them up at 6pm. It seems to be the American way these days. I'm sure Sarah Palin will have a lot of help with her special needs child (like her oldest daughter and husband and probably many nannies). I am more concerned about her extremist views. She is more right wing than George Bush and Dick Cheney and that is really scary.
what was that Tom? "Adding to the brutality of a national campaign, the Palin family also has an infant with special needs. What leads you, the Senator, and the Governor to believe that one won't affect the other in the next couple of months?...She has an infant -- she has an infant with special needs. Will that affect her campaigning?" -ABC's Bill Weir on "Good Morning America," August 30.
debunks what? "There's also this issue that on April 18th, she [Palin] gave birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome....Children with Down's syndrome require an awful lot of attention. The role of Vice President, it seems to me, would take up an awful lot of her time, and it raises the issue of how much time will she have to dedicate to her newborn child?" --CNN's John Roberts on the August 29th, "Newsroom"
