  • I love this song beyond words, I love the Pumpkins beyond words!!!

  • @MTVVH1sucks - as Corgan said, "because of my drummer, I can do anything"

  • definately one of the better ner pumpkins songs.

The kid on the drums is no neil pertt but he's still great.

  • still hot, but not the same without iha and the other freaks..

  • Holy shit. This is my favorite Pumpkins song. And hearing the drums -- just inspired me to go take the money I was saving and buying a drum set. I WILL learn this song.

  • corgan kill yourself

  • noew neow match noir haa eeh hahk lah koo soitchang .....any ideas ?

  • incoherent pointless racket

  • rip mark! cool dude.

  • @siameesewhite hes dead ? ce la bra tion time !!!!!!!

  • I'm not good with a guitar but he's not changing chords very fast. I think I could play the opening riff with some practice.

  • @PandawdyBob Your point is?

  • @jumpinjoe88 I'm not sure that my comment needs an explanation?

  • 1:55 fail wink

  • your home is here within my <sp3

  • my cat is bald too!

  • Amazing performance, Billy still sounds great.

  • strat > les paul

  • So surreal to see Mike playin the drums, we went to the same high school in Beaverton OR. except I was 10 years before him.

  • one of the best ever, not just the 90s

  • Why is there a guy playing bass? Billy always recruits the hottest girl bass players :/

  • @max7119 they were in-between ladies.

  • @max7119 yeah I think after seeing D-arse-y's ugly mug for so long he thought he'd trade up. I miss Melissa the most though.

  • @max7119 That is the legendary Mike Tulin of 1960's Psychedelic band The Electric Prunes. Sadly, he died earlier this year. (A 20 year old drummer and a 60 year old bassist!)

  • @DarkeningSkies1 RIP mark, hes is a legend in my book, so sad to see him go even if it happened a while ago its still very sad

  • @jsh020 Yes, very unfortunate. At least he got to spend his life making music. Many who love it just as much do not get that opportunity...

  • @DarkeningSkies1 yah, well teh one thing thats good about being a musician is that even when you die your music lives on,

  • just... perfect......

  • Damn! That drummer has got his shit locked in. So good.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH billy looks so cute..lol i fucken love this song <33333

  • @st82nd he is the primary song writer and none of the musicians were virtuosos...i say he deserves to keep the name.

  • @Brad keeping the name obviously doesn't mean being at it's best though does it. BC is the biggest sellout for keeping the name and sounding nothing like what made it a name, he goes on about other GREAT bands, slags em off because they like to make the fans happy, they make new music but don't forget most of the old stuff because its THEM. BC ignoring most fans has just proven if you write a load of shit and tell your fans to like it only 10 percent will, that's why there is no budget anymore

  • @TheLydianRocks I think you have No clue what the fuck ur talking about. Billy Corgan is few and far b'twn. The members left on their own terms, and as for the name...... obviously that was his otherwise he'd have lawsuits from the ex band members. Well, let's rename the "Smashing Pumpkins", now that would be absolutely ignorant. His music, his band! Load of shit..... look @ your ignorant self!!!!

  • @st82nd Wrong. Billy Corgan IS the pumpkins!

  • There is no doubt that the song is amazing, but the kid playing drums kicks so much ass, i bet every drummer in the world would love to be in his place, and he did a great job!!!

  • RIP Mark Tulin

  • Corgan can write whatever he wants. It's his music. Listen to it or stop whining and move on. Also, his vocals are better live than they ever have been.

  • that was a tight performance. .billy feeling young again ehh.. .

  • Fu kk ing awsome

  • One of the greatest truly rock bands. Bunch of clueless kids in the audience who are more preoccupied with filing him and posting it on facebook, than actually enjoying the music. Sad, sad.

  • that kid on the drums kicks so much ass!

  • @MTVVH1sucks - Totally agree!

  • @MTVVH1sucks yes but i think he is very good! don"t be jealous:)

  • So good.

  • I simply don't understand it: this video has been posted for more than 10 months and there are only 21,909 views. The only way that makes sense is if the internet was broken across the world for 9 months and 28 days.

  • Billy hasn't lost his spirit, just his band, and you cant blame people for wanting to hear the old band, thats who they like so why should they pretend to like the new sound if they don''t?

people get so butthurt that others wont just blindly follow because they are expected to, he needs to write more stuff like this and stop going the way of iommi. he is a god, will always be, but he needs to embrace his peak instead of trying to out do it all the time, it wont happen, history teaches us this!

  • @TheLydianRocks The word was that his new bandmates got badly butthurt by backdoor Billy in a literal sense after this performance -it's how he deals with post gig letdown- can you blame him -he puts so much into a gig. You can't blame James and Jimmy for not wanting to put up with the constant pain that touring en'tail'ed. If the fans knew about this dark side of the pumping Pumpkin they would be more forgiving of the music that comes out in such trying and traumatic circumstances.

  • @fasfadsfsd lol every fan including you apparently thinks they know about what it was all really like for them, well whatever mate, fact is james would be working in that record store if it weren't for corgan, now the tables have turned and billy needs help getting or rather keeping any credibility after the abysmal decisions he has made recently and they told him to go fuck himself, they don't have to work ever again and can live with riches but billy is the bad guy even though he did the work

  • WHAT is with that hat...

  • dude, just look at the energy Billy is singing this song with here.... should shut up all the haters that say he lost his spirit!

  • oh billy X

  • 3:07 I fucking love that drum piece. :D

  • these guys are lame..and i mean the audience WHERES THE HEAD BAnging???? i was at their cancert in sacramento and it was a tiny ass room and everyone was going crazy i just turned thirteen and i know thats not how you act at a smashing pumpkins concert

  • Corgan sigue siendo jodidamente bueno puto crack

  • Great song, great band, great voice, stupid hat : - P

  • Billy Corgan is The Smashing Pumpkins because those are his lyrics and his songs and his voice being heard. The Smashing Pumpkins are Billy Corgans poetry and each album is a different stage in Billy Corgan life. Billy Corgan rocks he is THE SMASHING PUMPKINS and he will forever be THE SMASHING PUMPKINS!

  • (...)

  • billy is the smashing pumpkins.

  • mike byrne is probably the best replacement drummer billy's ever picked

  • @d15er mike byrne is rather average for me. his time is awful and he tends to rush. Jimmy and Billy make that band, not just Billy, the band were still dynamic with out james and darcy, but watching this is painful. Jimmy is simply irreplacable playing great songs like this.....but i guess everyone is different

  • @dimatteo16

sadly I think you're right. Jimmy was without a doubt badass. and this drummer is slightly rushing things, esp the snare. subtle but definite.

  • ojala le meta pelotas cuando venga a colombia, ahora canta sin ganas ni nada .. le falta la magia del resto del grupo.. la madre

  • see you on november billy =D

  • whats with the stupid hat

  • @carsiotto He wore the same type of hat during his Zwan days (Watch the video "Lyric" by Zwan). I will give it to you the hat dose look silly. But hey, he is the only man that made the Nosferatu look work for him, we have to give him that.

  • @carsiotto LOL

  • buset,, jarang penonton ke Billy cuma semeter.. deket gila

  • @OxenOrb Space boy, Today, and Disarm were the best on Siamese Dreams.

Then again Zeitgeist was one of the best to me.

  • The song is meh . . . but the band sounds great. I do find it creepy that baldy replaced James with another Asian looking dude. And I believe he has yet another chick bass player.

  • @tonebenderx He Has Females Bass Players Cause For The Back Up Singing Like Darcy

  • @ryneldo I think he should go with a guy back up singer and more specifely me. I sang Try Try Try at a bar and they clapped for 20 minutes.

  • Billy seems strong again , it's just the whole demeanor here...it's like he's shook off all the bullshit and is just jamming.I'm trying to figure out how to get to their show here in Austin 9/20....totally sold out fast...they/Corgan still have a huge fan base regardless of what version of the Pumpkins survives.Cool stuff.

  • @austingunsmoke craigslist usually has people selling tickets, sometimes people post reasonible prices, when i went to see ween people were posting for 150 for two tickets, but i got two for 80 but im going to smashing pumkins tmarow and its gunu be awsome!!!

  • @IngloriousBear yeah, cool man...I checked the C list and trying to make some decisions here...haha,there's some sugar daddy dude giving away a FREE ticket to any attractive female that will go with him and have some "drinks" before the show, funny as hell....anyway,there's a few more for sale.I guess I'll make it or not.I think it's gonna be a good show...don't forget to smash a pumpkin in the parking lot for the ritualistic power & Billy will levitate during the gig.Lol.Laters.

  • he looks super baked between 1:45 and about 2:05

  • not a bad tribute band

  • He looks fucking young for a 43 year old!

  • Each one of these people were very very lucky!!! So jealous.

  • Whats with the cap

  • what strikes me as odd is his vocals in the newer songs, theyre really odd sounding, and he doesn't sound as good as he did before zeitgeist, but here is proof that his age hasnt changed his vocals, he can still sound the same, so i dunno why he chooses crappy vocal melodies and such in the zeitgeist and teargarden material

  • pussy with earplugs in......for shame!

  • @NoHeartAnthony Because its better to go deaf? He already suffered hearing loss as early as the Gish days, and developed a pain in his ear upon hearing certain notes. He's trying to save what he has left. I'd rather look like a pussy than go deaf. I've suffered hearing loss and distortion in my right ear and its not fun.

  • @subby33 I was actually referring to a dude in the crowd. sorry

  • @NoHeartAnthony Since when does protecting your hearing make you a pussy?

  • @quantibulousDEW since forever, fagola. you're going to go deaf when you're old, take the fucking plunge and listen to the music in it's glory once rather than muffled shit for ever.

  • @NoHeartAnthony I would let 2 or 3 of those little hairs in my ear die to get that close to the action. I'm being serious I love the Smashing Pumpkins Old Smashing Pumpkins, New Smashing Pumpkins and I love all of the band members first to the last. I you ask me every album was good some better than others but non were bad there have been bad songs like GLOW, The Beginning, Silver F#$k, and so on but over all really good.

  • who ever didn't think billy was the heart of the pumpkins must be fucking retarded and is too lost to even bother debating about that topic, if some think that they probably hit parked cars while they are driving

  • Amazing drumming

  • As long as Billy is playin', it's Smashing Pumpkins. Sounds KILLER!!!

  • its so much better to see music live

  • Man, makes this song sound AWESOME!!!

  • damn billy's singing is really good here he is improved so much and evolved

  • I miss Jimmy but it's always pretty much been Billy + 'others' anyway

  • Wow. This makes me SO happy, the fact that they sound this good. Towards the breakup in 2000 you could definitely see the tension in all the members' faces, and now they all just look relaxed and chill, which makes for a better performance... I see them in July in Orlando and if they sound this good then I can die happy. :D

  • @feeeeeebs totaly agree with you.. in my opinion Billy truly is the heart of the pumpkins, and its amazing how good he sonds considering that he's been through a few rough times these last years

i just hope i get to see them 1 last time before i die =P

    that would make me rip

truly 1 of the best of the 90´s

  • @olivaix :) They were AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING last week. Played a 2-hour set. Best night of my life. I hope you get to see them!

  • @feeeeeebs thnk you very much =) i bet they were great as always lol

you r very lucky i wish i was there to =P hope you get to see them more times, take care =)

  • @feeeeeebs i think part of the reason is because he is the only member left

  • @feeeeeebs but this is only two of the original members

  • @feeeeeebs ummmm...YOu know that this isn't Smashing Pumpkins right? It's "Billy Corgan and friends." None of the original members (or from the Machina era) of SP are present here today besides Billy. Having said that "Tom Tom" is the best thing he has written in ten years. Just sayin.

  • @feeeeeebs Dude...you do know that billy corgan is the ONLY remaining member from the Era you just mentioned?

  • @TheEtceteraEtcetera Was there really an era after this one? Lady GAGA era?

  • @feeeeeebs "now they all just look relaxed and chill": mind you there's only one left from those days. JIMMY: COME BACK !!!!

  • @feeeeeebs It sounds to me like you think these are the original members. The only original member there is Billy. The original members are D'arcy Wretzky, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin.

  • Amazing performance. I love Mikey Byrne tearing up the drums. It will never be the original, but SP still kicks ass with Billy as the pilot.

  • Did anyone else notice that all of their guitars that day were black and white? I did. :)

  • Who's on bass?!

  • @litalovesu Mark Tulin but hes not the new bassists its nicole floriento

  • @FullmetalFan500 she's smoking hot!

  • @ryankon518 yeah but i prefer ginger pooley, my favorite bassists ever=]

  • @FullmetalFan500 Chick's "poo"ley compared to D'arcy :)

  • Hey nosaintinla, do you have a video of Song for a Son from this gig? That would be amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • Fantastic!

  • @easternmind and to be more honest, i THANK to god EVERYDAY FOR THE BACK OF THE BAND.

thanks smashing pumpkins, for all your music, and to billy for bring the band again

  • i love billy' laugh at 1:57

  • Great version! To be honest; I don't miss Jimmy here!

  • @RobinB84 The new drummer is pretty damn good.
