Sorry to say I wasn't at this event due to my car was missing the engine at the time. I was one of the members of the San Diego Chapter of the BMW CCA that helped prepare the course for the weekend. Translation mixing up yards of cement to replace missing and loose concrete. Remember Holtville Raceway is an old WWII training base were Army Air Corps members trained in their then new B-24 bombers coming off the assembly line in San Diego. Thanks all to that took part. with the new racing scene in the imprial valley the reopening of the airport for car racing would become extremely popular. I wish the air port could open its door again so I can take my car and race!
