FYI Screamo is a genre from the 90s(now named by some SCRAMZ to differentiate it from the 00s pure shit, whiny, wannabe screamo bands).

On the other hand metalcore is metal's ass-tumor. A now very popular genre among 16 year old boys who want to cut their veins because the whole world is against them. Same goes unfortunately for Emo nowadays together with screamo. Pure shit bands with 1 or 2 exclusions of the rule.

In the 90s though Emo & Screamo where not faggot lifestyles.

Or at least it was, nowadays though most of what's called screamo is either metalcore or extreme metal, because the definition has pretty much become "any form of rock music that features screamed vocals." It was originally a more agressive offshoot of emo. (90s emo, not Falloutboy and suchnot.)
