look being sunni, shii, ect. is haram. u are suppose to label urself as "muslim" thats it. it says in the quran, dividing the religion is haram we arent suppose to divide the religion into sects.

Okay.... for those of you who don't know, Baba Ali wasn't following any religion before converting to Islam... He is Persian... from Iran. He accepted Islam at the age of 20. He is a Sunni.

Muslims who follows the Quran and the hadith are not call sunni Muslims in the Quran, Allah call the believers, Muslim only not sunni Muslims, the Prophet never said i'm sunni Muslim

those who submit to the will of Allah and his messenger, Allah call them Muslims. people are trying to divide the religion of Allah by giving different names to Muslim., remember what the prophet said. he said on the day of judgement Muslim well try to come to him to drink from the pool water Allah well give him n the Angels will come between him and the people, so he will say to the Angels, but they are my UMMAH, the Angels will say no, they have divide the religion after u have left.

Yes, but the point is not to "Label"....We are muslims. We don't have to label ourselves; if we are living according to the sunnah, that is being MUSLIM, not being Sunni. Al hamdulillah, I desire to follow the sunnah, but I will not divide into sects. I am one who submits to the will of Allah swt, and that's it. InshaAllah, I hope you don't take offense; I'm just trying to help my bros/sis' understand the harm in labeling.See the reaction of folks when one says he's Shia. Division already! Peace

Islam has already been divided into sect. No one can stop that. It was predicted by our Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) already. So I'm following the one that is accordance to the Sunnah and The Quran, becuz Those will never lead us astray. I stated that the Sunnis are following the right way which is the truth. And Alhamdulilah for u if you are following the ways of allah. But stating that the Sunnis are following the way of the Prophet correctly is not labelling.

Rather, it is better to say those who live according to the Qur'an and the Sunnah...The name "Sunni" is in itself the label, I hope I didn't offend you, bro or sis(didn't check profile 1st-sorry!). The people who follow the Qur'an and Sunnah.
